2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

Would y’all do a Collins for Wiggins swap? If not what else would they need to attach?
No. Wiggins struggles being locked in and with motivation. He’s the wing version of Deandre Ayton. He’s paid now long term and I doubt he locks in for a lotto/fringe play in team.

Kel'el Ware workout interview from Portland. Definitely has the tools to be an impact player if he wants to be. Don't be totally shocked if he goes in the lottery. The Jazz also need a young big they believe in, and I would be surprised if they don't take at least one big in this draft somewhere.

The kid is a lottery talent. Like I said a few weeks ago I don't think there is that big of a separation between he and Sarr.

No. Thats such a negative trade in terms of locker room culture and there are no guarantees Wiggins ever shows up.
Ask yourself… why would the warriors trade an athletic wing in his prime that when he did lock in helped them win a title and is exactly what they needed? Also that is really the only time in his career he has really locked in and played like an nba team would like him to… Wiggins is such a 2k type addition/target.

Yeah you are preaching to the choir. I think that is one of the best arguments. Like if Warriors would be willing to do a trade like him for Collins, then you know the warts are bad.

At least we should know and be able to trust that Collins puts the work in and gives 100% effort in games and in practices. Besides, if we were to move on from Kessler then Collins fit becomes much less of a problem.

If your basis for doing or not doing a trade is if the other team would accept it, trades would never happen.

What makes him a negative in the locker room?
His effort and work ethic have been questionned by quite a few. I wouldnt claim that he is a negative, but the exchange would be.

Despite his other warts, Collins is at least a hard working blue collar guy.

I don't think his effort gets questioned all that much. He was put in a role that was too much for him in Minny and he was great in GSW until something happened in his personal life. Let's also not act like there isn't toxic elements in that locker room that may have impacted him.

I think all in all he does his job. There's no reason to believe Collins is anymore hard working when he hasn't really improved since his rookie contract
