GSW Draft Pick Watch

I like the trade scenario, but I might prefer just giving them their pick back instead of Hayward. Besides, that pick probably becomes useless after they get better...

Which is probably why they might not do it, I guess.

Anyway, I think Curry's ankle has a strong chance of recovery, but it won't if he and those around him don't start treating it serious. I really think sitting out the season would be the wisest course of action.

The biggest thing that would suck about this is that after taking 7+ years to get him to learn, Al's finally learned he doesn't have to go 1-on-5 and is finally buying in/getting it. We'd have to start all over again with Favors who might be the biggest black hole I have ever seen. Mo Almond-esque.

Considering it looks like Al is turning the corner and Curry's ankle is quite fragile (it must be Italian), it would definitely be a big risk to make the trade, but if we ever wanted Curry (AKA one of the top 3 pure shooters in the league - who is also a good passer), now is the time.

Agreed. Now is the time. KOC needs to get on the phone now.

Pacers win! I like the Pacers, but I REALLY like the Pacers when they play GS on the road. And I really REALLY like the Pacers when they beat them on the road.

Miller looks better today than any other time that I have watched him play. He really doesn't seem to have a lot of lift when he shoots. I don't know if that bothers me or not. I just don't know if that can be effective in the NBA.

Serious question here.

Say GSW gets the #7 pick based off of record. I assume their GM goes to the whole televised NBA lottery deal. What if a team from 8-14 gets bumped up to a spot from 1-3? That would knock GSW down to the #8 pick, which we would get.

What happens then? Would the GSW GM leave the stage, and would KOC get to march triumphantly in?

This is the scenario I'm hoping for, just for comedic purposes.

Golfman, from what I have been told we get the pick if it is 8 or lower after the lottery.

I guess I'm not understanding. Isn't that what I said?

The lottery is televised. A representative from GS should be there if they have the #7 pick, based off of record. AFTER the ping pong balls bounce, there is a chance their #7 pick drops to the #8 pick. We would then get that pick.

It would just suck for the GSW GM to be there if they lost that pick, and I thought it would be funny if KOC came in and kicked him out of his seat.

I misunderstood than. Yes that would suck.

Also GSW is in 7th worst in the league after tonights games.

It's just an ankle. It's not like we are talking about knee injuries here. It's serious, but ankle problems rarely end a player's career.

It may or may not end his career but it could make him a less effective player. Any problem with the legs is something to consider since basketball requires running and cutting. The problem with his injury is this isn't the first time he has had an issue with it so I think it could be a chronic issue.

we're close to lose those pick, when Curry will be back GS should improve to 10 pick or so, chance to slip under 8 will be less. so wish him health

Thank you cowhide also he has already had surgery on his ankle. That is never a good sign. My point also ct is that's team is not going to leverage a lot to get a player they don't know can stay healthy. Would you give up young talent for a player that might end up playing less than 50 games a year?

Wow..... MELTDOWN! GS gives away the game tonight vs the Grizz! Unreal 4th quarter! 9 turnovers in the 4th.
