The Celtics are just a better team and have the ideal roster to take on this mavs team.

Yeah, I was hoping the Cavs would start serving up lottery picks as early as next year. The Cavs are going to re-tool by trading Garland and Allen, but a team with Mitchell and Mobley alone is enough to make the playoffs in the East.

On the other hand they were in the finals.
And the Celtics were a juggernaut that whooped everyone's *** all year long at a historical level.

Btw, teams don't play big guys down low in the post anymore because they want to win. For example, the Celtics are by far the best team in the league and use their big men in the paint the least of anyone probably

Luka has a +7.4 net rating when he's on the court. Dallas has a -17.9 net rating when he's off the court for a total 25.3 net rating swing.

Kyrie has a +0.3 net rating when he's on the court. Dallas has a +5.9 net rating when he's off the court for a total -5.6 net rating swing.

Jayson has a -3.2 net rating when he's on the court. Boston has a +10.2 net rating when he's off the court for a total -13.4 net rating swing.

I actually think that the NBA should institute a mercy provision whereby series are clinched if one team goes up 3-0. Would mean less money but less physical stress during the playoffs (would never happen because of the former).

Money is the primary driver for sure. Plus the fans all dream of the game 7 from that scenario.

I think it will happen in my lifetime, it's not that improbable, and there are scenarios where I could see it.

The main one is an injury to a star player and how that could turn a series.
 
if dallas wins the next game, i predict they will complete the come back and win the series. but they got to go to boston and win on the road.
