The Biden Administration and All Things Politics

One funny thing to think about is that amazon had no layoffs during all the years they ran at a loss, at least on paper. And it isn't that far into the years they start posting a real profit that they also start going through layoffs. Funny, right? Oh but we need to remove corporate tax entirely or corporations will just lay everyone off and shut their doors! Such ********. I mean yeah, back in the 50's and 60's, when corporations paid the highest tax rate they had ever had they all just shut their doors right? Shut it down and lay everyone off. Well, no they didn't. It wasn't until the 70's and 80's when corporations when corporate tax rates started to be whittled down by the politicians vying for the rich man vote that we started seeing mass layoff. And as the tax rate fell further and further, layoffs became more and more common. But that can't be right, because now that tax rates are at thier lowest and profits among the highest we have ever seen...well so are mass layoffs. Weird right? But that cannot be right because huge profits at the expense of super-inflated predatory pricing and soaring national debt is what keeps us all safe in our little jobs, right? No? Huh, imagine that.

But hey, they believe in their Orange God-King and Cult Leader, why not literally anything any economist paid by big corporations wants to publish.

Please note, I am not saying that lower corporate tax rates drives layoff, I am just pointing out that rising profits at all costs, aided by a steep drop in corporate tax rates, does not make anyone's job safer, except maybe the CEO, who earns record income today vs what they made in the 50's and 60's. American corporations are about enriching the already rich at the expense of the lowest paid workers. not about supporting them or providing them any kind of security at all. That is all smoke and mirrors so we won't look behind the curtain and realize that enriching a few politicians is not worth the pool of human excrement we have created in our national debt and job insecurity and inflation that drives these corporate profits higher and higher at the expense largely of the middle of the road consumer.

But bro, corporations are people and have feelings. /s

After 50 years trickle down hasn’t trickled **** to the lower and lower-middle classes. Couple that with Citizens United and now we have our own set of oligarch’s. It boggles my mind that MAGA can’t connect these simple dots, but Mike Lindell found voter fraud and Obama’s a muslim.

Keep yelling at us that “the system is rigged” and “government is corrupt” when it’s your candidates, who lied and waft farts to your face, who are the ones who sold us all out.

Liberals didn’t promise to bring back your jobs and save your dying industries, conservatives did. They lied to you, sent your kids to the Middle East, and are the reason you’re so angry. Stop complaining to us, we’re not the problem. We’re waiting for you to wake the **** up, stop the corporate boot licking and get in the game.

fish actually saying something that makes sense!!
Although I’m not sure how he can say this and turn around and support all the wars and buy all the obvious stupid cultural divisions surrounding trump, and vaccines, and abortion, and DEI and the moron “ugly Hollywood” politicians without skepticism.

Huh?
I hate trump. Hated him prior to him becoming a Republican or a politician. He is a big corporation.
That's basically my politics right there. I don't support any wars. I think culture wars are so stupid and don't participate. I don't know what DEI even is or means. I got a recent tetanus vaccine (rusty barbwire got me while fishing) I guess that means something significant to you for some reason? I dont really care about abortion. My wife and I won't be pregnant ever again. If we were to be pregnant then I think we should be able to make decisions for ourselves. Do I support ugly Hollywood politicians without skepticism? I have no idea what that means.

A swing and a miss from your crazy ***

Yes, FORTUNE ****ING MAGAZINE is a great source for this topic. You’re trolling is either epic or dense….
Log doesn’t have faculties to know he’s repeating corporate propaganda that’s been spoon fed to him, but you are anti enough that I suspect that you might be able to see the strings.

The really big corporations don’t care about the tax rates because they offshore profits. Twelve percent of zero, and fifty percent of zero are the same number. Tell me I’m lying.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/06/world/apple-taxes-jersey.html

Our system is not a level playing field. Raising the tax rates doesn’t do anything to the big fish but it hurts the medium and small businesses that don’t have the ability to walk the same path. Raising tax rates doesn’t hurt the big fish, but it hurts the big fish’s competition which makes the big fish even bigger. Tell me I’m lying. Tell me the playing field is level and raises in tax rates impact all corporations the same.

Anyone else think the debate tomorrow determines the election?
No. Definitely not. Trump haters are still going to hate Trump. Trump supporters are still going to support Trump. The needle will barely move but in the end it doesn't matter because the system has been changed to where a GOP candidate cannot win a national election even if he had a 10-point lead in the polls. The 2024 election was decided in 2020. The 2028 election was decided in 2020. The 2032 election was decided in 2020.

Biden could have a heart attack on stage and die, and Trump would still lose the election. They might not even replace him. We'd just have 4 years of Weekend at Biden's.

You are silly

But since it's already decided you probably shouldn't even vote. Also should probably tell all your friends not to vote.

I live in coastal California. With the polls opening in 4 months, I think CNN has already called the race and put all of our delegates in the Dem column. ...but at least the weather is awesome.

It's dense. He goes too heavy-handed then engages his alts when he's not getting the response he wants so he can try to protect his main.

Pisses me off that Biden is the one running against trump. If anyone else was debating trump tonight then I would already know that they would win the debate easily. With Biden being the one to debate him im worried. It shouldn't be that way. Trump is an idiot. A moron. A buffoon. Imagine Obama debating trump tonight lol. Trump would look like a complete imbecile. He wouldn't have a chance in hell to look even a little bit intelligent. In fact I dont think there is a chance in hell trump would be foolish enough to even show up in this debate if he were going against Obama (or mayor pete, or elizabeth warren, or bernie, etc). But since he is debating Biden I have to be worried that trump might actually look good in comparison. So sad.

I think largely it's already decided for so many people that anything short of one of them full on violently ******** themselves and having a complete meltdown on the order of a grand mal it will do little to change the actual outcome.

Here is my prediction. Both will have enough gaffes and senior moments for both sides to claim him victory and cut together sound-bites of the other looking stupid that it'll feed he news cycle until the very day of the election. Both will claim full unequivocal victory. Both will deride the pundits who point out that Biden looks more presidential than expected, you know since we all expect him to spend the entire time being wrangled back to the podium by his handlers while he wanders and ***** himself and randomly strings words together like your grandpa with dementia, and that Trump looks more unhinged than we actually expected, but of course it's just his utter brilliance that he finally embraces flat earth and assumes that all Europeans are really fairy woodland creatures who eat sunbeams and **** greenhouse gasses or something equally insane, and Fox News cuts it heavily and spins it that it's a metaphor for being hard on immigration for some reason.

Anyway that's largely how it'll go.

Dude you're engaging with a troll again. Come on Grandpa, let's return those gift cards and get a diet Coke from Maverick.

Saw polls saying about 41% of independents will watch, so I’d say most know what their plans are by now. More partisans will watch, hoping to see their man “win”.

I think Biden will be well prepared. People expected the worst in the last State of Union address, and he did very well, at least compared to so many expectations. Trump, as expected, is acknowledging Biden may do well, moderators will not do well by Trump, and in the last analysis he’ll probably end up saying “it was a rigged debate”. At any rate, Trump is busy lowering expectations. But, we’ll see.

Imagine how stupid one has to be right now to be “undecided.” As if something said now will convince someone one way or another that the previous… 10 years hasn’t already addressed. This is really dumb. And I sorta wish the Biden campaign had insisted that Trump not be muted. Let Trump ramble on for the entire debate. Giving Trump unfiltered air time to show the world how unhinged he is is the best Biden ad one can have.

Yep. Exactly this. He goes to Bentley and Mongoose to try to stir the pot. It’s just so obvious
Yep its round and round we go with the accusations. It's the same game plan for probably decades from you idiots. I've seen it play out a number of times in just a few months. If nothing else the accusations give you all an excuse to ignore people that you don't agree with.
I cant imagine how somebody as engaged as thriller could possibly have time for an alt account. I'm not sure how thriller could be holding down a full time job over the last few decades on top of his time commitment to jazzfanz. He is probably so overweight he is on disability and spends his workday here. He probably started on his quest to get people to vote blue no matter who out of fear that his disability checks would dry up if people stopped voting democrat, and then it eventually just turned into a full-on brain virus cult thinking. Nobody could possibly stay engaged with thriller and the circle jerkers and still have time for an alt account.

Trump could call the moderators caulk suckers and then when they cut his mic and tell him that his comment was inappropriate he would cry that they were not fair to him.
