I said it before and I said it again… the family is accusing her of “Mormon grooming” and not just the “grooming” you are stating.

In what world do you live in where Mormons send mid-20 year old attractive women to sleep with younger men in order to bring them to the church? Even if you believe “Mormon grooming” occurs then can you admit that this probably isn’t that.

Even though… it would probably be a pretty effective missionary effort. Every pun intended.
 
“Mormon grooming” sounds specifically like evangelical hysteria, i.e. ‘Mormons are born with horns and/or tails’, ‘Mormons used to throw babies/women off the SL Temple into the GSL’, and other such pure non-sense. Are his folks evangelical? That honestly would help explain ALL of this.

You are right. It is the opposite, with men grooming young women. Poor Helen Mar Kimball, Maria Winchester, et al.
 
Ultimately, this likely comes down to the fact that Kyle is going to come into some money and the family (who went through all of the trouble of helping him build his career) is taking second fiddle to this girl.

Honestly, however, Kyle is going to be at the meagre end of the NBA train, so fighting about HIS money is stupid.

However, fighting about money with family members is an American past-time and has resulted in some of the most ugly things I have ever seen in my life. This is tame in comparison.

Working on it. I just wanna mention with the KO comp that KO was kind of a terror in the pick and roll and got on the rim a lot in space (also a better shooter). Flip doesn’t move like him.

It’s a fine pick at this spot in the draft but I’m still skeptical. The weird family stuff is also not a plus. Would much rather have second drafted AJ Griffin even though he’s apparently a full-tilt dumb *** weirdo.

Kelly Olynyk was barely getting his minutes his 2nd year and shot 62% from the FT line and against far worse competition. Flip moves way way wayyyyy better than Olynyk
 
I still think people get stuff really wrong on Filipowski. He was the best defender on one of the best defensive teams in college. He has the same stocks% that Taylor Hendricks had last year against better competition. He moves incredibly well for a guy who isn't considered athletic and is 7' tall. He's got a better handle than Lauri Markkanen.

I like Flip, I think comparing him to Lauri by “starting with the shooting” kind of ends that comparison right there. Lauri is one of the best shooters on the planet, don’t disrespect him like that.
 
Filipowski doesn't have the straight line burst, but he's better at moving his feet defensively than Markkanen is.
 
Probably too much to ask for Flip to develop into a KO-tier playmaker, but if he did, and was viable on defense, that'd be very fun.
