Its all leverage. You compare whatever offers you get to saying... hey we will just keep him... and extract maximum value.
 
Seems like PG really edged the Warriors....or the Clippers did. If the Warriors were really close to getting PG, they may overcompensate and give into UTA's demands. I'll start to get really excited if we start to hear that HOU is throwing their hat in the ring.
I mean if you wanted to tease out a big offer from Houston how would you do it? Oh two other western conference teams put up huge offers. One of them in your state and is going to be a competitor for years to come.

HOU and GSW could be the battle of the salty franchises because both missed on their big targets. I'm here for it.
 
The real reason the Celts owners are selling.
No clue what percentage of the team is for sale etc, but sources are throwing out a team evaluation of $4.7 billion. That's ~76 years of prime super max Tatum.

A championship team selling two weeks after winning the title feels a little off. I wonder what the back story is. Realizing sometimes a banana is just a banana.
