2024 NBA Free Agency Thread

So on Dunn and Westbrook. I assumed it would be Denver... but I saw some stuff on Russ heading to Miami... I saw Josh Richardson opted in and maybe he is hurt so Miami wants his salary out and Westbrooks salary in... couldn't find another great fit.

Don’t think it’s likely….but DEN really goofed it with Nnaji and they had the leagues worst kept secret with Holmes as his replacement. They traded 3 seconds to get off of Reggie’s deal which was not at bad.

Side note: Has Reggie Jackson deal already been executed? Did they goof up on the timing and their chance to use this to acquire WB via trade?

Still fascinated with the idea of a Dunn sign-and-trade so I did some quick research about their draft capital. They have their 1st and 2nd 2030 and 2031 picks totally unencumbered. So if that **** materializes I’d guess the compensation is a ‘30 or ‘31 2nd?

Or PJ Tucker and we get a bunch of seconds.

Hoping it’s PJ. One, we sorely lack leadership. Two, the addition of him and Eubanks will increase our toughness in spades. No easy practices. Toughen the youth up for the rigors that are the NBA. I imagine though a rookie, Collier will help in this regard too. It’s hard to quantify how important this is but I find it to be immeasurably huge and think it could pay off for guys like George, Williams and Hendricks.
