Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Bahamas vs Poland in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament stats:

Bahamas won... Edgecombe with 21 points, 6rbs, 2 ast, 1 stl, 1blk...

Will be fascinating to see if Edgecombe succumbs to being bad at Baylor like seemingly every top one and done commit has done as of late

Edgecombe is my early favorite. What he showed in those international games is rare. Those are highly competitive games. He's playing with and against NBA players, he's playing against men in high leverage games(Olympic qualifications). And he's still 18! And he looked like he belonged, he was involved on both ends of the court. His teammates looked for him and more often than not he delivered. And he's still 18!! This reminds me of the stuff Luka was doing as a teenager(not the same players, but similar way of handling their business against players with decades of experience in professional basketball).

I know the hype is all about Cooper Flagg and Ace Bailey and Traore right now... but Edgecombe showed more in those games than we might see from anyone else on that list until they get drafted.

Here's some highlights of his play:

My guess is we get 6 + all stars out of this draft, making it one of the goat draft classes.

There will be guys that disappoint throughout the season and other guys that rise up as well.

Very possible. But the early stuff I've seen from most of those guys is very promising. Lets hope we are in a position to take one of them...

FWIW, this is the Flagg draft until it's not, but it's extremely easy for me to see one of the other guys taking the lead at some time this season. I definitely wouldn't bet on Flagg going number 1.

Favorite as in you just like him a lot on an enjoyment level, or you actually think he is the best?

I thought he looked good, but Im not sold on him being a guaranteed top 5 guy.

I dont like making pre-season declarations until I can see guys on as even level as possible, but I think it kind of is just a Flagg draft. Not that the other guys arent good to very good, but Flagg is the only player I'm confident in being a game changer. Bailey would be 2nd, but he also just seems like the classic disappointment Wiggins type (not fair to him, but just the vibe).

Right now if I had to guess my #2 (again, dont like doing this), I would say Egor Denim

I just think the other guys are so good and Flagg might struggle out of the gate a little.

With the disclaimer that I've seen very limited play from the others, he's my favorite for the top picks. Of course, with the more I watch of the others that might change.
