Westbrick drags this one down. Gotta go team R.

He's only getting 12 minutes off the bench. It's also prime Westbrook, so it's not too bad.
Nah, still Westbrook, who in his prime drove away 2 MVPs and all-NBA caliber talents. Nope.

Not sure how prime Westbrook paired with 2 of the greatest shooters of all time, a stretch 4 as well as a great pick and roll big drags the team down. Good luck keeping him out of the paint and creating clean looks for everyone.

IDK he did it when he was paired with 2 future MVPs and all-world players. A big 3 for the ages, arguably better than this team here and this is a fantasy team. And he drove that one into the ground. Bench him here and the team will be better for it.

Also, Wallace, Thurmond and Sampson might be the best defensive center line in this whole thing. And Durant, Pippen and Payton are all-time great 2-way players. The defense will be rough and the scoring will be plentiful.

I was very surprised @NUMBERICA voted for Team D. He seems huge on team lineup chemistry/balance as well as defense and R, imo, has that in spades.
I have a really tough time with beanpoles shifting up a position and playing as bigs in contests where they’re matching up with all-time greats (which has a ton of bruising players with finesse; Barkley would move him around like he wasn’t even there).

There’s also spacing issues (Payton and Pippen for most seasons weren’t 3-point shooters and Wallace is a giant 0 on that front). Given that reality, Durant should be playing 36+ minutes a game, certainly not 28.

Some of these issues could be remedied by playing Pippen at the 4, I suppose, but we’re back to the issue of holding up as a full-time 4 against the likes of Barkley, Malone, Duncan, Garnett, etc.

If it’s any consolation, this wasn’t an easy vote for me.
