When the Jazz signed Simone, they signed him for two guaranteed years at less money. I feel like they could’ve easily gotten him to agree to a third year guaranteed and a 4th year team option at the amounts that Svi got. Nobody was really banging down his door before the Jazz signed him.

Yeah, two years, so Simone could be out of the NBA or capitalize on his play after two years, not be locked into a deal where every year (for 4 years) you are a walking contract trade asset that is under team control.
