I’ve removed the paywall on this Washington Post article. Yourself and others complaining about the FEMA fund that assists migrants should at least recognize and acknowledge that the fund was created by Donald Trump, in 2019. Therefore, shouldn’t you complain to Trump? Instead of spreading lies initiated by Trump?

Much like abortion, republicans are only playing politics to be against something. They actually don’t have a vision to construct anything. I’ll believe it that republicans are serious about providing folks with disaster relief when they stop voting against FEMA funding. I’ll believe it when they actually vote with democrats for infrastructure spending. I’ll believe it when they admit that climate change is happening and agree to work with Democrats to mitigate the warming of the climate by greenhouse gasses. I’ll believe it when they support relief for disasters impacting primary blue states and cities, not just red ones.

Until then, they’re merely playing games. They’re exploiting a terrible crisis, lying about it, in order to score cheap political points. It’s vile and despicable and they should pay a heavy political price for it. They won’t, because the GOP is largely a cult of personality now and the MSM is mostly a right wing propaganda apparatus that values clicks and tax cuts above anything else.

Don't forget, big business loves all this. These are all wonderful distractions that keep us from going after them and severing their ties to the politicians that enable multi-billion $ buy-backs and reduce regulations to the point of being completely meaningless, allowing them to foist whatever they want on the American people in the name of record corporate profits and adding to the wealth of the wealthiest among us, regardless of how many people it hurts to do so. They have theirs, so who gives a **** about anyone else getting anything they need?
 
I don’t know if Trump is the “worst, most racist bigot in the world”, but I do find him disgusting, and someone who should never be my nation’s face to the world.

I hope all those in the hurricane’s path actually heed to the experts’ warnings and not try and stick things out because some jackass online gave them terrible information. It’s best to evacuate and be safe than to try and tough it out only to pray that government workers save your ***.
