Kamala Harris for Pres

Excellent video. Its something I've thought about for a long time and its something that has made me in some ways isolated from my own side of politics. As a big, tall, white male who works in an industry of authority and violence, having been involved either through work or union business around discussions of gender roles, people on my own side of politics very quickly run to a selection of assumptions about me. Happens almost every time, unless they happen to know me. (pre pandemic I was invited onto a working group to improve and deepen my health services response and protection for victims of family violence) Both of my parents have died in the last year or so, I quit work to stay with my mother in her last few months, I haven't returned to work since she died, I have no other family and I've also separated from a long term partner. I can if i want go days without talking to another person, sometimes I actually want to go days without talking to anyone, I am acutely alone. I am at the same time fairly fortunate, I have a close knit group of friends, I'm not facing financial pressures.

At the same time I'm not working which was something that gave my life structure and purpose, it also provided validation cause I was pretty ****ing good at it and widely respected through a massive public organisation. However 20 years of working in violence has me wanting to do something else with the rest of my working life, for the first time in a long time I'm questioning am I able to change? Can I actually have a second act in my professional life that i will excel in?

Now if I was not a fully formed adult and a 20 something kid, some of the ideas peddled by these men's rights personalities could be seductive, especially when my own side of politics isn't supportive to men's issues. As an example, before my parents passed away I had managed to establish myself fairly well I had already amassed a decent portfolio of assets, once their estate transfers to me I will have a considerable amount of assets, my lawyers have advised and drawn up paperwork for any prospective future partner to sign to protect those assets. I'm uncomfortable with this however its probably necessary and i realise good advice because if I enter a de facto relationship with someone after three months they have claim on half my assets, regardless of what they bring into the relationship. Now does this make me a predatory member of the patriarchy desperate to maintain financial control or somebody who is risk adverse and is worried about losing wealth that has been built by two generations?

good post dude, very honest. Fingers crossed you find a calling that you can really settle into for this next phase.

Unless you become an Andrew Tate lol

Good points about the stresses young blokes face these days, not an easy world to navigate.

Look I'm not familiar with the Andrew Tate's of the world but things have gone a bit far. Gender has been weaponised against men in the workplace, the standard being applied today is that ridiculous. Someone can report basically anything they want to HR the threshold being are they offended. So a friendly relationship between two colleagues can be exploited by a third party to have them face disciplinary actions even if their actions and behaviours have nothing to do with them and they are not involved in it. Its a very easy way for an ambitious female to remove a male supervisor. We had a girl at work who had made a career of doing it, in the end she got found out but the damage done to peoples reputations is lasting.

It’s very scary- we can see how deranged lunatics like those here with tds would gladly see Americans they disagree with jailed or murdered.
And if Trump established camps for liberals, or simply for anyone who did not support him, or agree with him on anything at all, I imagine you offering full throated support for such camps. Sad, isn’t it? That I would expect that of you, and that you suspect that of me?

Enemies like his further VP, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Shumer, Liz Cheney, Mitt Romney, just to make a few who the Orange Man has threatened.
The Constitution can get in Trump’s way, as well. Who will he go with, himself or our Constitution? Well, he’s already answered that question.

I guess I’ve posted this Katyal video 2-3 times, where it seemed to fit. Because it is important to understand the extent to which Trump and his team are willing to go to make sure Trump wins the 2024 election. By theft if necessary. I do believe, if close, Trump may be successful in stealing the election. It’s beyond me why AI-O-Meter claims it’s not “Trump’s enemies”. Of course this is entirely personal for Trump. He’d suspend the constitution to suit his personal needs. AI-O-Meter has a view of Trump that is based in Trump’s alternative, fictional reality. If that’s the reality he wishes to inhabit, good for AI-O-Meter if it pleases him. Nobody else, with any common sense, would pay any attention to such a spin.

When Trump said, to his cult, “I will be your retribution”, he was identifying his enemies as his cult’s enemies: they are coming for his followers, and he will stand to protect them, and exact retribution on “America’s enemies”. We can all see this is the case, no inherent reason to allow Trump to BS everyone into believing those Americans
who simply want to hold this ex-president to account, are “the enemy within”. In fact, they are the good Americans within who are pointing out just how un-American Trump truly is.

People insisting this man must be held to account, if we really value the IDEA that is America, the ideals that define America, are absolutely not “the enemy within”.

People who run on the basis of a fictional history of the United States are not operating with a full deck, and are, in fact, enemies of our republic, and their followers have been brainwashed into a cult. The guy wants to be America’s Putin. Someone needs to wake up, and it’s not me, not on this topic….

Fantastic post. One of the best I have ever seen on jazzfanz. Thanks for sharing, sincerely.

I wish I had some sage advice or something of value to add. Good luck. Hope for the best for you.

What does Vegas say?
Vegas says nothing as it's illegal to bet on the election in the US.

International betting favors trump 57% to Kamala 43% from what I can gather

This Mad Magazine cartoon, published in 1969, describes the type of “patriot” Trump and his supporters represent.

Great representation of trump. He is all about hating America and Americans while praising hungary and Russia and Putin and Orban and Kim jong un.

Any polls or betting sites or whatever that say trump is going to win is a good thing imo. Get the never trumpers who dont like kamala to realize that not voting for kamala will get trump elected.
I believe that the biggest reason Hilary lost (even bigger than russia helping trump and bigger than "hilarys emails") is that all the polls were saying that trump had no chance. Clinton would win easily. Voters who disliked both candidates, but preferred hilary over trump, figured that hilary would win without their votes anyways so they didn't vote at all or went 3rd party. I knew quite a few people who preferred hilary to trump that didn't vote for hilary for this exact reason.

Trump is now leading in all 7 swing states.

If the election were held today and the voting system were fair, Trump would be the next President.

I still don't think it possible for Trump to beat the changes made to the voting system. In the face of overwhelming evidence, I believe Kamala Harris will be the next President because the game is rigged.

You're an idiot and you make the world a dumber place.
