I wonder if Wemby will ever develop into a roller if the Spurs give him enough spacing. I like his scoring, but seems like he should be taking more advantage of his size in the paint off lobs.
It's not his legs, it's his high center of gravity. He plays really upright all the time and it's too easy to get him off balance. When you're trying to establish position, you need to get LOW and WIDE. Basic stuff, but apparently nobody's told him.Lauri is an incredible athlete and shooter but his legs turn into noodles whenever he's trying to establish position in an iso.
Collier was creating advantages...Jazz still have no advantage creation, just Sexton charging at the paint.

A big issue is he exposes the ball right in front of him when he goes into his moves. Doesn't have the spacial awareness that the best ball in hand scorers have.
Nevertheless, your center of gravity can't be that high when you're trying to post up. Strong legs don't help if a smaller defender can push you out of position and off balance by just leaning on your back.Getting low for a 7'er is not basic stuff

He can't even seal his man before he gets the ball.
SAS doesn't look like a team that will challenge for a playin like some predicted. If they get to the second half of the year and are out of the race they will get grimey. It's hard for me to cheer for losses, but this game could be important. We need 20 minutes of Williams at PG this half… for tanking… I mean development? Spurs are sneaky bastards and we need to gift them as many wins as possible.
