I love an easy YouTube recipe so I thought id start a thread

I eat steak and eggs for breakfast 3 or 4 times a week, I had no idea it was a traditional Australian breakfast I just figured its what people ate for breakfast everywhere...

This dude is a bit over the top with the spuds and stuff, I normally just have the eggs, the steak, some steak sauce from the local deli and sometimes a wee bit of sourdough

I hate this dude's mustache, but this recipe is AWESOME. A couple of things you need to buy off Amazon or at a local Asian grocery store.

**EDIT** And Thai Basil can be difficult to find. No, you can't sub regular basil. Maybe Holy Basil, but that's even harder to find.

I don't know why but this is one of my least favorite YouTube food guys. Just something about him rubs me the wrong way. He has some interesting videos with interesting premises, but I can't watch him for much longer than a few minutes and I just have to navigate away.

Like I said, I hate his mustache, also, he always seems like he's talking down to you, like he's deigning to divulge the secrets of his brilliance to you. Except he always forgets to mention a step, or explain something he thinks is obvious. And all of his explaining the difference between various things (like, say, soy sauces) is done without the slightest bit of scientific rigor, which frankly rankles me.

That guy is pretty awesome for a lot of things. He does really good in depth dives into specific ingredients. I've never known him to be a recipe guy.

I don't know if it's just a Kiwi thing or if Aussies have it, too, but my wife has gotten me hooked on brown sauce. (It's actually British, but...) "Stuff it down with some brown!"

What is it exactly? I keep hearing about it, never had it.

It's like a more pungent, usually sweeter (due to containing tamarind) A1 sauce - I think A1 is actually classified as a brown sauce outside the US.

You can buy Daddies or HP on Amazon.

We have it here HP sauce is available at every supermarket normally sold next to the tomato sauce (our tomato sauce is different to American ketchup). I feel its probably more popular with older people and British immigrants (still a significant population group) Mum would pop a bit of HP sauce in her meatballs mix. Any decent pub BBQ will offer tomato sauce, mustard, and HP sauce (collectively referred to as the dead horse)

I've never made this guys stuff but his videos are pretty funny and i seen him do a bunch of charity **** too seems like a decent bloke.

I use a heap of Gordan Ramsay recipes and tips, can watch this all day.

you just watch to pick up tips on swear words and abuse. I'll never forget the episode he grabbed a piece of bread in each hand, pressed them either side of someone's head and called them an idiot sandwich
