Following Potential 2025 Draftees

I had made the Case comparison before with Harper….and there are still some aspects where I think that holds true, but Harper looks to be on a completely different level as a slasher/finisher around the basket. Cade a much better shooting prospect.

Harper looks like Brunson/Jalen combo. If the shooting comes around he will be a top player.

agreed. harper is by far the best basketball player of all the OADs in terms of being a pure basketball player at the d1 level. but shooting is the elephant in the room with him. he's not a bad shooter, but he's not good enough right now and if he can't figure it out his nba ceiling will be limited.

he's averaging (if we round up) 25, 5 and 5 on 55% FGs. that is freaking insane. freshman guards just don't do that at the major conference level. and then you have the 27% 3pt lurking in the shadows...

By far the best *scorer* of the OADs.

OAD?

Egor prolly ends up in the 3-6 convo depending on need. I’m still very high on him. Flagg and Cooper I think will further separate themselves from the pack.

Harper is really good, and is looking like the favorite to be the #2 pick, but I cant put him above Flagg's potential if he cant shoot.

As predicted, Flagg's shooting numbers are abysmal:

FG% .444
3P% .269
FT% .706

People like to wave these aside and say "he's such an impact player in other ways", but in the NBA, he won't have the ball in the first place if he can't shoot, and nobody's drafting him at #1 for his defense.

His current role at Duke won't translate to the League at all.
