If you want to talk about how wages aren't keeping up with inflation, then say that. If you want to talk about the economy being or not being in recession, then say that. The word "inflation" is not a proxy for those things. If you make a comment about the currency being worth 10% of what it was before and therefore everything costing 10x more, then you're talking inflation.

I agreed with your earlier point of wages lagging inflation being a reason for Trump's victory. During nearly all of Trump's term in office, wages rose faster than inflation. If you lived through Trump's term where your wages rose faster than inflation, and Biden's term where wages lagged the rise in inflation, it isn't crazy to want to go back to Trump's leadership in hopes he can duplicate for you what he did before.

It was the same reason that landed me on most block lists. It was my opposition to transing underaged kids. LogGrad has a daughter who identifies as alphabet people, 'L' or 'B' but not 'T', and was standing with the community (a.k.a. Gameface and gandalfe) by branding me as unacceptable other. He uses the term 'troll', but what he means by it is I am one expressing genuinely held opinions he disagrees with rather than personally attacking people or saying things only to generate outrage.

I do honestly believe government should ban minors from receiving surgery and/or puberty blockers as a treatment for gender dysphoria. I think it is barbaric and applaud what the UK has just done.

While the pendulum of public opinion is swing back toward my direction, I know that even if LogGrad changes his mind to support a US government ban on minors receiving surgery and/or puberty blockers as a treatment for gender dysphoria that I'll stay in the category of "troll". Meh. It is what it is.

One point that article misses is the massive rise in homelessness. Biden caused more Americans to become homeless than any US President since the Great Depression. In 2024 alone, homelessness rose 18.1%!
