Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Kasparas game sealing midrange jumper. Not the best game for him. Turnovers an issue again. Wish he was a bit more aggressive hunting his own shot in the midrange as he looks very comfortable when he does.
I’ve actually been impressed with his offensive game recently.

Yeah, the turnovers are a little concerning, especially when thinking about having him on the Jazz. We really need someone who can bring the ball up against pressure.

That said, I would be absolutely thrilled to draft him.

His handle is what concerns me. His passing/shooting combo is fantastic, but IMO he kind of turtles up and turns his back to the defender whenever guys get into him. Ideally, his handle would be stronger against pressure and he would just drive by them. If had a tighter handle I'd consider him right there with Harper/Flagg.

As of right now, how many guys in this draft would have gone first in last years draft.

I do think this draft was mega overhyped. Flagg and Harper seem worthy of #1 picks, but calling this the greatest draft ever was definitely overselling it. Surprise surprise, the draft is once again over hyped.
Just wait until I call the 2026 draft the best ever, lol.

Risacher probably goes like 8th, but I think he would be grouped in to the prospects in the 5 to 14 range.

It's really hard to compare international league prospects to NCAA ones.

Risacher was very boring as a prospect, but his production impressive in the French League. He's definitely not top 3 if you put him in this year's draft, but you can start making a case for him starting at 4-5. I think you could probably throw in the best NCAA prospects (and Sarr) in that range as well. Clingan, Sheppard, Castle....I think I like guys like Edgecombe, Demin, and Johnson more but there's not too much separation between that second tier group and the first tier group last draft.

I just did Talkathon and the Jazz got the #8 pick, which would be.... Queen, Fears, Knueppel, Newell? Maybe Edgecombe gets there in some scenarios.

Yeah I did the tankathon mock draft, and 8 seems to be a big drop off point for the kind of talent we are hoping to add. At that point I would probably take Queen, Traore, or Essengue.

At least 4. Ace Bailey would make it 5. Very possibly 6.

It is still possible that this draft was overhyped despite that because the top of the ‘24 draft is the worst I’ve seen since I’ve been following (2008).

I have not seen one person say this draft was the best draft ever lol.

I think you’re downplaying it a lot. I’d take this draft over 2023.
