Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Jazz should get a solid starter in this draft as long as they draft in the top 7: Flagg, Harper, Johnson, Demin, Bailey, Jakucionis, Fears....maybe Edgecombe.
There are a few guys I'd then bet on in the middle of the 1st round: McNeeley, Queen, Toppin, Rocco, maybe Ian Jackson.
I don't think this draft is as deep as 2023.

Jase Richardson doesn’t play a lot of minutes but damn he’s been efficient. Probably one to watch for 26.

Fears and Kaspar cooked some very bad teams today.

At what point do we put Fears ahead of some of the (presumed) top 5 guys?

Philon with 21pts, 5 rebs, 6 asts, and 2 stls today. It's impressive that he puts up numbers playing with one of the best returning players in Sears.

VJ is just so disappointing. It’s crazy that his athleticism does not translate to finishing at the basket/getting to the FT line.

He's not too far off Westbrook physically (he's weaker, but not that much weaker and is otherwise similar)

But the difference is that Westbrook can dribble into traffic at full speed.

VJ's handle is so terrible that he has to move in slow motion when he's dribbling the ball.

So he never gets into the paint when dribbling and ends up taking horrible angle shots.

His 3pt shooting needs to come up a bit, like from the low 30s to the high 30s. I think he's probably a mid-lottery guy already.

Following CBB is so weird because 95% of the games before January feel like glorified preseason basketball.

It also felt like there was basketball no CBB over the last two weeks due to winter break.

Sorry college students, I need to scout prospects.

It's been awhile since there were a lot of good games, but we are about to get in to the Conference schedule and we're about to be overloaded.

Fears sure looks like he's going to be a high-level lead guard. He's a smooth, shifty, three-level scorer. He also moves well off the ball. He has a high floor and high ceiling.

I'd put him ahead of Bailey for starters. I see Bailey as becoming a slightly more exciting version of Trey Murphy. While that's a very valuable player, I don't think he's quite an All Star due to his limitations off the dribble.

Both Fears and Tre Johnson should be better players overall than Keyonte--Fears as a 1 and Johnson as a 2. Fears is a more natural on-ball creator and decision maker. Johnson is a better shooter and scorer.
