Trump Dictatorship and All Things Politics

Quite the clown show….
It is sensible centrist government. Trump's position has long been to be in favor of immigration but he wanted it done legally. The H1B visa is legal immigration. Most Americans support legal immigration. Elon Musk is voicing Trump's position on legal immigration.

The idea that Trump was a xenophobe opposed to immigrants was another instance of the cartoon propaganda spewed by the now dying lefty outlets. The outrage among some on the right is not different from the outrage from the pro-lifers when Trump made clear he personally thought 6 weeks was not enough time. The flack coming from the right is proof of Trump's moderate centrism. We elected the moderate centrist. Claiming flack from the right is proof our government is falling is ridiculous.

As a big 'L' Libertarian, I do not support Musk demonitizing voices in the modern town square if that is indeed what he has done. I'm just not sure that is what he's done. His explanation that Twitter/X algorithmically deboosts the fringes automatically and Twitter/X's aggregate userbase interaction with Laura Loomer's content triggered the effects to her account's reach does make sense even if I don't necessarily like that either.

Whatever gets the base worked up….As for Trump’s response, yeah, whatever gets the base all worked up….

Are you sure you want to make this political? The driver of the EV truck capable of murdering without contributing to global warming was a lefty. In Texas, his voter registration was independent but in South Carolina, where he lived before moving to Texas, he registered Democrat.

There was also an incident of a Cybertruck with a bomb being detonated in front of Trump Hotel. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that might also have been a perpetrator whose politics are left of center.

Standard Trump. If his lips are moving, he is lying. He can't speak without lying. I would argue he is a pathological liar. My son's baby-mama is like that. She will lie when the truth would be better. Trump is the same way. He isn't happy unless people are pissed off. He is a cancer that will eat away at our country. Sad days coming in America. Sad days.

Sad days coming in America. Sad days.
Whatever. Maybe leave your bubble once in a while.

The reporting I've seen says, at least where the driver is concerned, that it had nothing to do with Trump. It was a convert-to-Islam whose wife divorced him and refused to let him have any contact with his kids. He went into a hate spiral and originally wanted to set up a fake celebration where he intended to kill his family but that didn't pan out so he decided to kill infidels. He made YouTube videos explaining all of this as he drove from Texas to New Orleans, but shortly after the internet discovered them, YouTube removed them.

Radical idea here, but how about we don't link TSD to acts of terror? There are an awful lot of people with TDS and it wouldn't be good to suggest that some TDS-sufferers chose to act out by killing Americans.

The TDS you refer to never existed, except in the minds of those Americans who feel that saying Donald Trump should be held to account for his crimes against our constitution, and our ideals, is somehow an indication that people who believe “no man is above the law”, are “deranged” because….Trump.

If an American citizen believes that Trump’s Big Lie is one of the most damaging lies an American president could possibly inflict on his own nation, and that he should be held to account for actions he took to overturn a free and fair election, such a citizen is a GOOD citizen, correctly understanding how much Trump’s words and actions are in violation of our ideals, and our laws. That’s not derangement. That’s being a good citizen, a citizen who recognizes demagoguery, a citizen who recognizes the Big Lie will likely, at least for quite a spell, cause Americans to distrust elections, a distrust amplified by a lying sack of ****, who has never, for one single day of his life, cared about the United States, its constitution, its laws, its citizens.

No sir, the people who fall into the category I’m describing are good citizens, with a far better understanding of our nation, than those truly driven nuts by Trump. The TDS that does exist is being projected, by those who suffer from it, upon those who simply have a far better understanding of who Trump is, why he appeared at this time in our history, and the danger his fascist leaning mind poses for our nation.

Not all who voted Trump are bat-**** crazy. But it’s there, among Trump supporters, that one will find those deranged by the appearance of Donald Trump in our body politic. Some think he’s the second coming, some think that God decided Trump was just what the country needed. All kinds of deranged conspiracy theories have developed, among his followers, involving Trump. QAnon is deranged. And at times focused on Trump. Pizzagate was deranged. And inspired by Hillary hatred. Many principled conservatives even recognized Trump. And why not? Lots of very smart conservative intellectuals in the United States, and they know a demagouge just as easily as I do. The only people in the United States who might be described as driven deranged by Trump are among his followers, not among those who recognize him.

Great post. Too bad the intended recipient is just a troll. He will post some stupid twitter **** and claim you are backwards and don't understand TDS and point to a few nut jobs, since they are everywhere anyway, as proof that the entire body politic except for Trump supporters are deranged, and thereby ignore the ample evidence to the complete and total contrary. Too bad it is a waste on such as them.

The New Orleans driver just killed 15 Americans. I don't care what he thinks about the 2020 election. He is NOT a "GOOD citizen". The tribalism where people are not only willing to look the other way, but actually praise monsters as "GOOD" if only they share an opinion on some political point is frightening. What you did right there is TDS and it is not nearly the virtue you believe it to be.

Fantastic post

Is it an indication of bad brand reputation when I see a news report that a cybertruck blew up and I immediately assume it was just another manufacturing defect?

Bernie is right in my opinion. The right is divided over this issue and people are actually voicing their opinion and frustration with musk and trump.

What’s interesting is when Biden is doing this on his way out the door to screw over American workers like he did with the rail workers strike the left stays silent. The left stays silent and they don’t speak out because they are in a cult. That’s the difference.

Wasn't it?
It was my first reaction as well
I do not know how you guys function. No, it was not a manufacturing defect and no, it was not a terrorist attack either. It was actually something that was very, very sad. The guy who did it had explosives demolition training and could have leveled the building if he'd wanted to. He purposely chose fireworks and camping fuel in Cybertruck that would contain the pyrotechnics because he didn't want anyone to get hurt. He drove back and forth until the area in front of the hotel was deserted for the same reason.

He was a soldier with PTSD who had decided to end his own life because he couldn't live with the memories of the friends he's seen die and the people he had killed. He believed there were other soldiers out there like himself who needed help so he sought to make his suicide sensational to bring attention to the issue and maybe start a conversation that could lead to them getting some help before they too decided to pull the pin on their lives.
