2024-2025 Tank Race

We've been doing a fine job of tanking so far, and in most years we would be set up very nicely for a top 3 odds. We happen to be tanking in a year with more really bad teams than the NBA has seen for at least the last 10 years.
Is it a surprise, though? Teams like Washington and Brooklyn have been shedding their good players to make sure they are terrible. And Ainge instead held on his good vets, resigned Markkanen and added Eubanks and Svi. He has done everything in his power to make tanking as difficult as possible.

Toronto lost by 54 points lol.
They only scored 71

UTA loses by 16
NOP loses by 11
TOR wins by 17
WAS wins by 18

The Wizards beating Charlotte helped build their confidence, so that's one good thing that happened.

NOP now has a commanding lead of 2.5 games. Teams 2-5 in the tank race are all within a half game.

Agree with you. Too much talents, most be the team vibes and issues with stars like Zion. Actually it show to me that having good players help but is not a guarantee.. team chemistry matters a lot.
It's just they didn't expect to be this bad. The Jazz players had an idea what was going on. NOLa came into the season thinking dark horse contender but they are one of the worst teams.

LOL looking at the box score neither team could so **** in the first half, and Boston made up for it in spades in the 2nd half. 45-18 in the 3rd and 35-18 in the 4th. Wow. I may have to watch that one on replay for fun.

Boy Kessler **** the bed against the Knicks wow.

I’m the wake of the Jaden Ivey injury, it’s worth mentioning that they have 12 games remaining against Washington, Charlotte, Toronto, Brooklyn, New Orleans, and Portland. Two games per team, I believe. That comes to 25% of their remaining games being against the bottom 20% of the league.

It has arrived ...the clash of the titans: Pels and Wizards, back to back.

I might watch tomorrow, just for the comedy factor
I was looking forward to it too. The Wizards played much better later because Sarr and Poole have really, really improved. Sarr will likely end up being ROY if he maintains his recent level of play throughout the season. They also shoved all of their good vets to the bench (Valanciunas, Brogdon, Kuzma, Kispert) and these vets play hard for a chance to get out of Washington, so the Wizards all of a sudden have one of the best benches in the NBA. On the other hand, the Pels finally got back all of their injured vets aside from Ingram, Zion and Alvarado, so they are semi-good as well. They can have an interesting mini-series. If Bilal does not completely crap the bed it would be hard for Washington to lose.

Pels and Wizards play each other tonight. A win would put the Wizards in a tie with the Jazz.
I think we are more likely to catch the Pels than the Wiz since Zion will want to come back if he can play because of his contract situation. Wiz do need to get rid of Brogdon and Poole eventually becomes garbage again.
