I know absolutely nothing about Jackson, so I'm not weighing in specifically on the debate about him.the jazz need efficient scorers more than anything.
From my lazy boy, it's pretty clear the Jazz need an elite primary playmaker. I'd be pretty amped if we ended up with Kasparas.the jazz need efficient scorers more than anything. that is the most important skill in the league. if he can pass, it's gravy. it's why KD was drafted 2nd overall. when you can score like that, you take the guy and worry about passing later.
granted, KD was 6'10" or whatever, and Jackson is just 6'4" - i'm not advocating taking Jackson #2 overall, but I am saying he's damn good and starting at around 5, if he keeps playing his way, he has to be strongly considered.
just beat me to it.Jazz need a versatile on-ball creator who can create advantages more than anything. We have a bunch of guys who can shoot and cut. We need someone who can run an offense and get the defense to really collapse and warp.
This is why I'm a bit less excited by a player like Ace Bailey for the Jazz, while someone like Harper or Jakucionis could be just what the doctor ordered. Meanwhile, the 2026 draft has an array of impressive wings and forwards in the top 10.

Obviously, if we can get Cooper Flagg, take him and run, but otherwise these lead guards in the top 6 or so have to look appealing to the Jazz.
The team is like 10% complete, I really hate drafting for need. Just draft the guy we think is best, regardless of player type. Talent of any kind is the biggest need. Jazz need pretty much everything anyways so it's no big deal.
Okay, but on-ball creation should be a significant factor in deciding who we think the BPA is.

A "primary playmaker" is a dying breed in the NBA.
What happened to Harper?Tuned into the Rutgers game and....if you Dahntay Jones someone you mean mug them and nothing happens?
What happened to Harper?
