This is the only game I wanted for them to win from last three, as Hawks had their best guys, Lauri had a great first half and Sexton warmed up to the end a bit with especially Kessler. IMO these three guys should be in contending top 6 rotation of Jazz, and winning this kinda tight nailbiters would boost their growth. But it's all good for the tank. Doesn't mean it doesn't suck to lose like that. Sadge.
Drew Eubanks gets the tank ball. In limited minutes he did the best he could. Moving screens all over, horrible passes. We see you Drew!

Game balls for Hardy and Eubanks both. They willed a way to lose. Key needs to come back. We can't have old man Mills mucking up the tank.

According to basketball-ref, he's 8% on shots from beyond half way line for his career.
He's also a significantly worse career 3P shooter than Bryon Russell. Then again, not the first scrub to light us up, either.

I understand the benefits for the tank, but celebrating a nailbiter loss loudly like tanking fandoms do is still kinda awkward. I'd get a neutral "good for tank, I guess" kinda articulations. I guess I'll never learn to appreciate American pro league cultures.

Jazz will tank next season as well because AInge won't like the idea of OKC getting that 1st round pick(plus, if they don't tank, they will probably have zero firsts unless thisnext trade window gets them some. Those Wolves and Cavs swaps will be useless when Jazz have lost their own pick (would be useless nevertheless) Depending this becoming draft outcome, Jazz will either trade Lauri on summer 2026 and go full OKC route on rebuilding, or start using their assets to put together a young up and coming team with some reinforcements around the age of Lauri or few years younger.

So after Sexton hit that shot… first a shoutout to Collier trying to thread the needle on a pass inside to Kessler totally not open, but anyways, sexton hits the three and I put my head down sulking, lol. Anyway, I missed seeing the actual shot attempt by Trae but looked up just in time to see the ball in the air and go in and I’m thinking, where did he shoot that from? So I rewind and he shoots it from half court my jaw just dropped. Wow!!!

I hope they do tank, but don’t think they will be able too we are already starting to look much better. The young guys were really bad to start the year but they all are improving. Hell even Cody showed his confidence is much better
Collier is bad in a lot of ways, even for a rookie, but he has some vision and can penetrate and pass. Lauri and Walker need someone like that to thrive. I don't think Key or Sexton will ever fit that mold.
