Great game, ended up in the lower bowl instead of loge (and yes it's called loge: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/loge) and access to the private dining area with steak/shrimp, so even better.

Wonderful to spend time with family in a fun atmosphere and get the closegame.

Fun to watch Cody mess with Trae's game- the height really bothered him, and even when Cody was getting too easily screened or beat off the dribble due to speed, his length mostly still forced Trae to pass. I noticed him almost immediately make a three after Cody subbed out, and Cody was being used as a PG on the offensive side as well at times and it seemed to work fairly well. Interesting option to get him some useful minutes with Keyonte out.

Lauri's release is just insanely quick- its a shame we don't get him more attempts with clean looks, because he just needs a 1/2 second to get it off his hands.

Kessler started slow, but he improved the whole game, til he was near dominant at the end.

The overwhelming impression the first 1/2 was that Atlanta has a lot of offensive weapons and that Dyson Daniels is a cheat code on defense (partly because the refs let him get away with a lot.)

Really liked being in the lower bowl in the sense that you can really see details but was still high enough to get most all of the court without head swiveling. Perfect placement.

I wouldn't say Cody was being used as a PG. They just knew Trae would guard him and they wanted Trae involved in the ball screen actions involving Lauri

Going to the game with my brothers and a daughter - luckily free food and I believe loge seating, so hoping for a close, exciting loss!
Perfect outcome.

Wish Key a speedy recovery. We can't tank without him.
Missing key and Clarkson seems to equal more shots for Lauri, juzang and Sexton.
Need key and Clarkson back to soak up some volume field goal attempts. Came very close to a 3 game win streak.

Somehow Cody and Collier aren't bad enough to hold Lauri/Sexton/Kessler back
Their volume is too low. In fact, due to their low usage they do the opposite of hold 3 of our best players back. Instead those 3 get more touches and more volume which is bad for the tank.

Yep. Key is the recipe to a successful tank. Terrible efficiency, high TO and poor defense. Really need those on the court to lose basketball games.

Except he's been efficient since December...

And yes, he is a bad defender, but he is also being asked to do the hardest job on defense every night.

Id love to have Trae Young, but I just wouldnt love to pay him his next max deal. Just too much money for a guy that size who cant score efficiently without FT's. He would be nasty with Lauri/Walker.

In the last 30 days he still shot below 40% from the floor and 70% from the FT line. Come on now. We should all know who Key is by now. He would have a few good games then go back to his same old inefficient self the next games. And yes he's had tough defense assignment but that's no excuse for you to be terrible at it. The guy so far has not shown enough to be anything more than a tank commander. He's got a lot convincing to do before his next contract extension. Ideally I'd see him as more of a KPJ type bench PG, who's enjoyed some success at the clippers this year. Or he can always go pursue bigger things overseas. Kenny's been great in Shanghai the last time I checked.

Not super high volume, but yesterday they were a collective 2 for 17. Hardly hurting the tank.

Their lower (than JC and key) volume allows other better players (Lauri/sexton/Kessler/Collins) to have higher volume (than they do when they play with JC and key)

Great game all the way around. Nobody I’d rather see rip our hearts out at the buzzer than Trae Young. Class Act with a nod to Sexton post game.

just watched the game. What a great entertaining game / result. I sure do enjoy watching our best player get the most shot attempts.
Normally I agree. If we were trying to win games and get a worse draft pick then having guys like Kessler, Juzang, Sexton, and Markkanen all shoot way over their season averages in field goal/free throw attempts like they did last night would be a great thing (Collins too).

Since we are trying to lose though I would prefer those guys have a bunch of field goal attempts/touches taken away and go to Clarkson and Keyonte.
