Following Potential 2025 Draftees

People act like drafting is difficult, but there is a 100% guaranteed way to know if a guy is a real prospect or not. Just ask, is his name, Jalen?

There are currently 18 of the approximately 450 NBA players with the first name of Jalen (or the many different spellings of it). That means 4% of the NBA has the first name Jalen.

Of U.S. Men, there are currently only 427 of the 165.8 Million that have the name Jalen, or 0.00026%.

This means that the name Jalen is over indexed in the NBA by 15,385%. Seems like a pretty strong indicator of future NBA success to me.

There's no way in hell that's a real number. There's way more than 427 Jalen's.

I questioned it too, lol, but it's what I was able to find quickly and this wasn't serious so I wasn't about to dig deeper.

I guess there are a ton of variations on the name Jalen.

Jaland Lowe (6-3, 173 PG) is the only one on Tankathon's Big Board (#60) that fits this year. Maybe this means it's a real bad year.

If Fears continues to be a sub 30% 3pt shooter and Collier contniues to look somewhat promising, Fears would probably be on my "Do Not Draft With the First Pick" list if it ends up falling to 7-8.

Yeah, his 3p shooting needs to lift. I look at his FT% and assume that it will, but he's not shooting much volume. He was 1/3 last night.

Anyone watch film on Asa Newell? I see some people having him top 5 and really love his athleticism+potential. On paper he looks like a tweener, but maybe he is (offensively at least) a JJJ/Mobley type?

He can't shoot like Mobley or JJJ. He's a defensive energy big that historically has a harder time translating to the NBA, imo. I don't see him as a starter for most teams.
