Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Drafting outside of the top 5 would be a disaster. I'm including Johnson, but it may be more like top 4.
Honestly, that’s why I’m pointing my gaze at what seems to be lower tiers by consensus to find the player that jumps off the screen the most of that group which is obviously Danny Wolf.

Has Bailey had games where Harper didnt play? I'm kinda wondering how much pressure playing with a guy like Dylan takes off of him. Would love to check some tape from a game where Ace isnt the #2 banana.

His ceiling and projection and likely draft position are all pointing towards someone betting that he can become #1 banana at some point. I'm sort of wary about how well he would perform when given the keys.

I like him. He also passes the cool name test. With the Cleveland pick that’d be a great bet.

I haven’t really made my board to go that deep, but in my mind he’s in play for the MIN pick. Same goes for Fleming….at that stage in the draft it’s not bad to bet on projectsble role player skills that are highly valuable.

If French Pippen is there, don’t even consider the role player of course ;)

Young DWade had a handle and point-guard skills. Also a player could have "slightly less scoring" than DWade and still average 25 ppg.

I'm thinking that VJ could be a somewhat longer, supercharged version of Terry Rozier.
Rozier is 6'1'' (and that's being generous), about the same as Sexton. VJ is a hyper athletic 6'4'', just an inch shorter than Vince Carter.

So... no.

Ace with tons of points and zero assists. The highlight reel is pretty eye-opening because you see how many passes he either didn't see or didn't consider.

Traore had 19 and 5 in 28 minutes today and finally shot the ball well, 5/8 from 3. If Traore suddenly find his shot, that would be great for this draft class.

Ugh. Having a hard time buying him as a future superstar prospect if he plays with blinders on.

I don't think he's a superstar per se. I think he's the #2 guy, like a Brandon Miller, Trey Murphy, etc. Maybe he earns some limited comparisons to Paul George, although PG13 was a force off the dribble. If Bailey is your #1 guy and the guy you play through on offense, your team is in trouble. His shot quality is still suspect, and he rarely passes the ball. Harper and Flagg might be good enough to be superstar, #1-option type guys. They get where they want on the floor and make a variety of high-level plays.

My earliest estimation of that kid was something like "extremely talented kid with a bad case of the blinders." But, some people seem to think he might be trending a bit in the right direction lately. If we drafted him, then I couldn't help myself from being excited and intrigued. And worried. He definitely wouldn't do anything to address our defect in playmaking.

Jackson hasn't been good so far, but at least he has passed a few times. I'm completely ready to be a Powell homer, but then he doesn't do anything.

If you could lock in pick number four for the jazz would you do it? I think I lean towards no, but it's close.
That is a good question. I go with no as well. Jazz are about to go on a huge losing streak.
