2024-25 Trade Rumors Thread

If the Lakers came with all the picks and unprotected 2027... and the plan isn't to be good until 2027... that's a hard offer to pass. I actually think the Lakers should do that if we are willing. If you tear down post Lebron you can sell off AD and Walker and recoup some of that investment.

That's a tough one. 27 (release protections), 2029/31 unprotected is my price. If they layered on 2030 swap and we had to include Collin... like thats close to a Rudy type trade. If the plan is to be bad for another year and a half at least then everyone is kinda on the table.

The Lakers are likely way too cowardly to do an all-in type of move tho, so I doubt this gets any traction.

I like Walker, but don't mind trading him if we're trying to tank another year or two because we lose so much value on his rookie deal. I'm less sold on him seeming as good when he's getting paid 25m/yr or more.

Dreaming....

If we trade Walker, then it better be for the asset (or a big part of the combination of assets) that allows us to trade up from the MIN pick to get Kasparas. We also trade Collin or Sexton for the pick that gets us Wolf. The Jazz walk away from this draft with Flagg, Kasparas, and Wolf.

Kas
George or Sexton
Flagg
Lauri
Wolf

It's the Lakers... I don't think they do the all in move unless Giannis or Dame or a top 10 player is involved. Having said that... I would mortgage our short term future for all of the Laker's assets. I love Walker. But give me quality picks and I am selling.

That is a laughably high price for Walker… so you know Danny is asking it.

But in all seriousness, the only way this is a conversation at all is if the Jazz are sweetening what they’re sending with Sexton or whatever. Which is fine, we’re probably just going to lose him anyway.

I think they should offer it. Walker is one of the few guys they may be able to get about as much as they gave if they turned and rebuilt later. Maybe they only get 50-75% value back but they should at least try to do something like this to rent something that works now and later.

Seems like it might be Knecht+One first. If it’s unprotected I think you consider it….But Kessler has played so well this year I would probably just keep him.

Is Knecht a better prospect than Sensabaugh?

Obviously very different team contexts, and Brice is 2.5 years younger, but:
