Great post, I looked up Josh Howard's stats yesterday, he's now 10-37 (2-6 tonight) in his last 5 games. He started the season off shooting pretty poorly (low 40's), but now it's dipped down near his average last season of 35%. 2 or 3 of his shots tonight never got above the rim, we have serious shooting problems at the wing spots. Can Burks get some minutes at some point?

I feel like CJ gets too much hate on this board. His outside jumper is John Starks streaky, but he's been amazing getting to the hole the last 5 or 6 games. I feel like some fans on here let other players off the hook, while CJ takes an unfair amount of criticism. He's not great, but he's our best wing player, not including Burks who is still unproven.

Al Jefferson has to stop shooting those jumpers of his. He's just wasting away possessions.

Go down low, work his post moves and get a layup/foul. He ALWAYS get a result doing that.

If he had done that tonight at least 1 MORE TIME, we would have won.

I say al jefferson is avg 17.8points per game 1.8apg.
he has some trade value.

problem with trading him is it might mess up team chemistry.
I like his personality though. would feel sorry for him if he gets traded to a bottom feeder(eg bobcats or nets)

What irks me some games is that jefferson is taking shots away from millsap.
whil millsap sometimes takes fewer shot than points in a particular game jefferson is jsut wasitng possesion.

but the worse part is(even when jazz where winning games) his defense is non existent

Al made a ton of shots tonight, and any big guy has to prove he can hit a mid range jumper to keep the defense honest, so I don't mind him taking some once and a while, and he does make them enough to warrant them.

The real point is Howard and how much he sucks. Sure, he has some decent moves that were probably awesome in his prime, but he looked downright sloppy tonight. Maybe he improves, but for the time being, I've fallen off the bandwagon.

EDIT: oh yeah, wanted to point out that Al is passing a lot more lately, and his defense is at least not a liability. He's learning and improving his game, so he hasn't reached his prime yet. I be' patient.

I love how you guys think Al is the problem. The problem is there is no other option offensively. He's shooting so much because they keep giving him the ball and praying.

And most of the time it's working.

....I thought the Jazz were virtually unwatchable tonight against the Clippers. Harris and Gordan couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat. Milsap played like a deer in headlights. The Jazz defense on Paul and Griffin was absolutely pathetic! I couldn't believe Watson actually had 8 assists....because he seem to me to be worthless. Of course, in the end, missing those 10 free throws cost us the game. Heck, we couldn't even hit the tech free throws we got! This was a very disappointing loss to me.

You simply must demand official apologies from above mentioned players.

We have too many slashing wings. We need a 3 pt shooter who can spread the floor. Raja is the closest we have to a shooter, and that's depressing.

Howard is by far the best wing on the team when it comes to creating his own shot. Yeah, I know, they're not falling right now; but he's a vet with a proven track record. If I'm Corbin I want this guy to keep shooting

Howard is a black hole. I said so early in the year when everyone was praising him. Horrible shot selection. Be happy to see Burks get more minutes as long as Howard is the one getting less. Big Al is fine. He has to mix it up a little. Without Al we are blown out in the first half.

You know, I thought it was a very great and exciting game and the Jazz stayed with a hot team with two superstars. Outside of the flop, I don't feel like there was much in terms of superstar treatment. Both teams fought hard, and I found it one of the most enjoyable games to watch. There was surely countless reasons the team lost, but I have to say I like how the team is playing aggressive. I like how early they were pressing the ball up the floor, much moreso than I ever recall them doing in recent history. While I am not happy that Watson is injured, I am okay with allowing Tinsley some burn, to see how his game is in increased minutes. There is a lot to look forward to. It is clear that Free Throws along with Perimeter shooting are the challenges, it seems to me that CJ and Millsap are shooting well. So that begs the question why aren't they shooting it more? (I'll wait for the blast against the idea of CJ shooting more)

Is Al suppose to go 20 for 20! I love how there are some players on this team that are just whipping boys on this team, even when they play well they get flamed by jazzfanz. Al went 12 for 20 was efficient, and was hot for most of the game. At times he was the only player that could score. Every player has their role on the team Al's role is to score. Al didn't seem to be hampered by the length of Jordan, where as Millsap had trouble getting his shot off vs. Griffin. If anyone wasted possessions it was Millsap. Also Millsaps defense was just as bad as Al's was last night.

i'm not just talking about one game. these are the SEASON stats. talking about his offense as a whole.
his defense is so bad. he often is the WEAK LINK.
i'm talking about the whole season

I still don't know why TyCo is so stubborn and refuses to run more offense through Devin Harris.

....Harris misses so many open jumpers it's not even funny! And why do we have him shooting tech fouls??? Our BEST foul shooter needs to be shooting the techs. We missed two of them last night...and it cost us. If you subtract all the dunks these NBA players make.....and just count there outside shooting.....I'll bet they all shoot about 25-30%!

Hayward ended up shooting 5-11, which, though not great, is not too bad. Sure he missed some he should have made, but 5-11 is hardly not being able to hit the water if he fell out of a boat.

No..... just the Clippers.
