I can’t afford this Trump economy

I just can’t afford this. Egg prices at record highs now that we’ve elected this *** wipe clown as president. Something has gotta change because hard working blue collar workers from small towns like the one I live in here in Utah just can’t afford this. We the people deserve better. I get rich coastal elites like Trump, Musk, and Suckerberg can afford record egg prices, but I sure can’t. This is costing me too much. Give me quiet and unassuming Biden any day over teevee presidents who jack off and jack up prices on the working class all for his billionaire buddies.

And they still sell miniature versions of tic tacs at the grocery store!
This was apparently a big deal to trump to the point he displayed the miniature tic tac containers at one of his speeches which he strangely tried to blame Biden for. (The regular size tic tac containers were still being sold as well of course)

He’s been in one week and things are already getting more expensive. My wallet just can’t take much more of this. I get that making his front row buddies richer is important but shouldn’t regular people matter? He’s just an out of touch elitist with failed policies.

As ridiculous as this is its on the money. The right in this country was running the same narrative weeks after they lost the last election. Aided by the fact they trashed the economy.

The exact same thing is happening in the UK. It's like 15 years of Torrie government and **** ups never happened.

The same narrative was pressed in the US to deny Biden any oxygen to articulate a message.

There was no conspiracy to deny Biden articulating a message unless you are referring to a conspiracy among his own staff. The press desperately wanted Biden to provide details. Biden refused to take questions. He would say some prepared few sentences and walk out of the room as reporters shouted questions at his back.

On Trump's first day, he gave three inauguration speeches and held a press conference. Afterwards Trump sat at a desk signing executive orders riffing on the contents as he signed them with members of the press asking questions to which he'd respond. Trump's message is getting out because he's putting his message out personally 20 hours a day. The stamina he is displaying in his first week is really quite amazing.

Biden didn't do the same because he was incapable, and not because of any conspiracy preventing him of articulating a message.

You guys really need to change up your news sources. The US is a serious country again. President Trump stopped the Colombian president from blocking our transport planes in about 4 minutes. We are back. Just a matter of time before everything is better. It takes a while to fix all of Biden's mistakes. Just be patient. All of your doom and gloom can finally come to an end.

The Great Depression was preceded by a decade of significant economic growth. Shortly before the Great Depression began a series of *** for tat tariffs between major economic powers were implemented. This ultimately drove the demand for now higher priced goods down sharply and, well, the rest is history.

Good post.

Btw, what is this all for? So we can ship a handful of undocumented Colombians in handcuffs in military planes? Like, what is this even about? Photo ops so it looks like Donald is doing something?

When Trump increases tariffs or provokes tariffs, it hurts our own businesses and consumers. Business likes stability. They’ll seek stability from our markets first. If they fail to find stability in our markets, they’ll seek them elsewhere. From places like China. See below:

There ain't no tariff on cocaine.

Interesting to see one of the resident Trump apologists all but coming right out, and identifying liberals and Democrats as “the enemy within”. I wonder how many problems will even be addressed on a level playing field, level in the sense that we’re all American citizens, we accept each other as fellow citizens, regardless of which side of any political, social, cultural divisiveness? For some strange reason, Trump apologists seem to think the only acceptable outcome is the defeat of America’s public enemy #1: Democrats, and better yet, let them fade away forever, no longer acceptable as “patriots” and “correct-thinking” Americans. Crush them, let it be a single party America! I do wonder at what point these apologists would be willing to holdback in their identification of Democrats and liberals as our nation’s greatest enemy: will they stop short of “re-education camps” like the Chinese have for the Uyghurs? I think we can bet our last buck there are American Trump supporters who would give a thumbs up for death camps. Oh, that won’t happen, I know that, but you can bet some Trump supporters would not stop short of even a “final solution”. Not here, but throughout this country such Americans exist.

Years ago, in response to a request by Joe Bagadonuts, I started a thread looking at psychological differences, even brain structural differences, between liberals and conservatives. I’ve known all along that some of our differences, problably most easily perceived in our culture wars, are due to differences that may have its roots in fundamental differences in how liberals and conservatives see the world at large. Truisms, like liberals are more comfortable with change, conservatives are more attune to threats. Fundamental differences in how one perceives and reacts to the greater world at large. And this must be fundamental in some respect, be endemic within our respective natures(allowances for nature vs. nurture debate), in some sense: we see this right/left split throughout the world, and clearly, we are living at a time where Right leaning mindsets are in the ascendant, and winning elections everywhere.

As far as eggs, bird flu. Bird flu. Better hope it doesn’t mutate in a way that leads to human to human transmission.

It's important to understand the President doesn't dictate the price of eggs. "The left" mostly understands this. MAGA seems to not understand this at all.

Eggs are predicted to go by 20% this year because of bird flu.

They think it's a joke, just like they thought when MAGA tards thought it was a dunk.

MAGA is not good at picking up on social cues.
The issue is both sides are so ridiculous with their spin it is hard to tell when people are being serious. I will hear someone say something and think its a joke... and then find out "nope... that is what they believe".
