The democrat mayor of Chicago is seeking to have the city of Chicago take out a high interest loan to make a massive payment to the Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) while he is on the CTU and will receive the massive payment. Brandon Johnson is using his position to enrich himself and using the children of Chicago as human shields any time the ethics of the situation is questioned.

Lately, Mayor Johnson said there are no ethics concerns because he ran this scheme by the Board of Ethics and they said there were no issues. The Board of Ethics has since come out to say Mayor Johnson is lying and they never said any such thing.

Johnson, a former CPS teacher, remains on leave from the school district. A 2023 memo written by CPS’ chief talent officer Ben Felton raised questions about that issue but Felton was told the city's ethics adviser "did not have concerns."

Board of Ethics said it did not give Mayor Brandon Johnson an opinion about CPS leave​

Despite City Hall’s claims, the Chicago Board of Ethics said it did not provide Mayor Brandon Johnson’s administration with an opinion about whether he should resign from Chicago Public Schools to avoid a conflict of interest.

The ethics board told the Tribune this week it has “no documents showing any written opinions” about Johnson taking a leave of absence from CPS, nor has it ever issued any written or oral opinions or guidance about CPS leaves by city officials or employees.”

Chicago voters are pissed. The guy who starts speaking @5:00 really drives it home by pointing out Chicago voted 37% for Republicans in the last election, but 4 years earlier they voted only 15% for Republicans. "We're waking up!"
