Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Thought VJ looked pretty good, he's shooting the ball really well lately. Demin was doing well but had foul trouble. Still looks sketchy whenever trying to dribble against pressure.

I hate how Demin has to hold his off hand way out to keep the defender away from the ball. On the verge of an offensive foul at all times

Yeah he can't really face the pressure head on. Whenever the defender gets close he has to turn his back or hold his forearm out. His handle just isn't very tight rn.

Demin with a sweet looking cross over step back three swish

I would treat Demin as a wing with some ball skills. I don't think he's a lead guard or really even a lead initiator. His handle isn't 100% confident, and he doesn't beat defenders off the dribble. He might be able to work off of screens, but he's not showing much of it from what I've seen. As a wing, he'd add value with his passing. Role-wise you could play him like Joe Ingles, more of a 2nd-side initiator, but Demin needs to make his shots.

Canon Catchings having a monster game.
23 points and hasn't missed a shot from anywhere on the court yet.
Announcers were saying he is the only player to score over 20 this season without missing I think.

Also, the BYU crowd is insane

This BYU game has been a joy to watch.

In most of BYU loses this year they have had decent sized leads with less than a minute left and couldn't finish.
Hoping that changes tonight. They are doing their best to choke this one away though.

Edgecombe needs a handle and a first step if he wants to play on the ball and get the most out of his athleticism. I don't think he's a 1 either. He's a 2-guard. It's the Robert Wright kid who is taking on the pressure for Baylor.

Yep. Choked away a nice lead again.
