Either he's a tank commander and we can make fun of @Saint Cy of JFC every night or he maybe shows something and we got something for nothing.

LETS GOOOOOOOOO!!!!

He won’t have such a good rest of the season that he plays his way into a contract we can afford (due to rules) but nobody can deny that JHS can go on a heater. He probably has one game where he delivers a devastating 40 bomb W against the Hornets who have outsourced their playing time to the local middle school team.

There is a hellish scenario where he plays extremely well, kills the tank, and then we can sign him because his option was not picked up.

But rest assured, he stinks!
Im not sure he's really played a meaningful minute in the NBA. He's coming off back surgery and a pulled hamstring. My hope is the Jazz are impressed with him off the court/in practice and sign him to a Svi type contract.

Is he healthy now? I'm guessing maybe not, given that he's ruled out for today's game. But maybe there's other things going on.

It just feels like JHS has been such a low priority for LAL that he's almost been an after thought. He clearly didn't fit in to their timeline. It's not all on them as they desperately needed cheap talent, so I think if he showed anything he would have had chances. In the end it could have just been a bad match of a player that needed development time and a team that couldn't afford it.

We now have a few month try out to see if we might be a better match for him. I'm not holding my breath that it works out, but I'm definitely interested.

He never even got a chance. Maybe that's a bad sign that he looked so bad that they didnt even want to give him that, but damn.

Do you think he looked any worse than Collier when he first started getting minutes?
JHS never got minutes. He only got put in games during blowouts. He never looked good, but he never had a shot.

Lakers are generally a good development organization, so it's not a great sign.

The worst sign is that nobody in the league was willing to give him a chance, and that's why his option wasn't picked up. If he had any interest, there would have been a team out there that would have taken him on and picked up his option. Guessing it's known by everyone that his health was not in a good spot after the back surgery. Almost impossible for a guy drafted 17th to have his 3rd year option declined by the Lakers (and everyone effectively everyone else) just on the basis of being bad.

Interesting that JHS is listed as "OUT" not due to injury, but not being with the team. Might never see JHS play a game for the Jazz. Got to think if they had any interest in actually playing him he would have joined the team by now to go through medical evaluation. Might just be looking at trading him in a 1:1 swap to save a tax team some money
