It's like Islam and bad muslims. Islam is a beautiful, peaceful religion but there are lots of bad muslims, even terrorists.

Football (you call it soccer) is a beautiful game/sport(especially while playing) but there are countless idiots who think they are fans. I've played soccer since my early childhood and so many years as a professional or semi-professional player but I've never liked its general fan base's attitude. Even in most developed european countries there are lots of hooligans, extreme fanatics or plain idiots who call themselves fans. And in a lot of countries it's a major tool for the greater things mostly in purpose of some groups' or someones' financial or political benefits.
 
That is why I said "fanatics" instead of just "fans". I agree. A few bad apples...

No man, nothing wrong with your post.

It just makes me sad my friend, you know, human life I mean just one, just one human's life is more important and valuable than all kind of sports or whatever but just because of this silly stupid fanatics, hundreds of people die every year around the world. One of my friends elder brother got stabbed in a stupid derby match some years ago by a hooligan who is a fan(atic) of even the same team. He's now limping when he's walking and probably will do rest of his life because of the incident. And this is only a minor example.

Because of those idiots I never go to FB-GS derby in Istanbul, you should see(actually better not to see) some streets become like a battleground during that derby most of the time. And the worst thing is, they(the so-called fans) boast with their savagery. As I said, it's plain stupidity.

I lived in Central AMerica for a while and while I lived there the American Mens Soccer team played and beat the National team from Honduras. I had threats on my life becuase they lost. It was insane. Every time the Honduran Soccer League had a championship game people would die. The teams fans would take to the streets and start shooting, looting...

What is the stituation for the American Football? It's tougher than soccer as a game itself but I haven't heard of big incidents in terms of fan violance.

There are always a few drunk idiots that get into a fistfight but nothing even near this scale. Everyonce in a great while a team will win or lose a champinship game in one of the major sports here (hockey, football, ...) and a few idiots will riot and burn trash cans and break windows and what not. However nothing even comes close to the level of violence we see in other parts of the world.

I see. I think it's more about the sport culture rather than the kind of sport. In Europe for example, there is violance and heavy profanity also in Basketball side. Turkey, Israel, Greece, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Italy and many others(I'm not scaling this countries in any order) are all criminal as the violance is like almost a part of the sport even in Basketball which is an indoor sport with followers from a higher profile of the community. Germany seems slightly better in this regard.

And US's sport culture is one of the few things I envy about US. (Don't get me wrong, I don't like to praise any country at all including mine, every country has goods and bads)

For me sports is all about having a good time. Start the grill, invite some friends, grab some drinks and have a blast.

Haha... Exactly, my friend.

Just like the time I'm having tonigth, we're watching some good Euroleague games with my firends, it's such an enjoyable thing.

For me it is still all about fun. I have been to football, hockey, baseball and basketball games before. I don't let a few retards ruin my fun.
