Just listening to podcast today and anytime I hear someone suggest a trade I got into fanspo and say "oh let's make this a 3 teamer with Utah"
No there was a report that Demar is excited now that Zach is in town.Is he? Makes so much sense for them imo. Just don't know who wants DDR. Not that he is bad, still a solid player and has a decent contract, but he's always a weird fit anywhere. Maybe the Hawks would want him? Feel like the Hawks should be desperately trying to to add a productive player at a low cost (could give the Jazz Capela) so they don't embarrass themselves giving a high pick to the Spurs
KD to Lakers for Vando, 1 FRP and two bags of chilli nuts.Chris Haynes: Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant (ankle soreness) will not play tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder, league sources inform me.

Trade pending?
Spitballing here: would taking Butler on and sending Sexton and/or Collins such that the Heat
-get quality players that expire in 26
-get under aprons and maybe the tax altogether
-move on from their Jimmy nightmare at the soonest possible moment
be a deal that we could do immediately and without sending (other) assets? This would
-give us a day to shop Jimmy, if we can’t find the buyer (him not being able to be aggregated is not a problem with his salary) would
-give us Jimmy’s Bird Rights (SnT possibilities) in the off-season, however
-he could just opt-out and bounce, freeing up capspace
-better ensure organic losing/open up development time
I'd rather have Kyle Kuzma.The simplest path to this kind of trade is
Buter + Rozier -> UTA
Collins+Sexton+Clarkson -> MIA
This gets MIA out of the tax (and saves a ton on actual player salary), it gives them 3 players to help them win that expire in 26, it gets Jimmy out of there, and it gets them out of this Rozier legal situation. That's got to be worth a decent amount to them right?
IDK what we can do with Butler after that....I'm sure he's bluffing to some extent. Maybe you can extract a first from for a team looking for a rental or maybe you send him home and you do a S&T in the summer or he opts in and you trade him on a one year deal. We could also simply be looking at a lot of cap space if Butler opts out and Rozier gets banned from the NBA.

Man, your Collins/Sexton blind spot used to be awkward, but taken this far it's kinda entertaining.Is he? Makes so much sense for them imo. Just don't know who wants DDR. But there isn't crickets as NBA insiders have noted to watch Collins, including the most reputable, Brian Windhorst.Man, your Collins/Sexton blind spot used to be awkward, but taken this far it's kinda entertaining.
I mean according to you, every other team in the league "could really use" these guys... but at the same time in the real world, there's zero interest. Absolute crickets. Same goes for Clarkson.
(BTW, Ingram would easily be the best player on the Jazz right now.)
I'm sure this is going to be the evidence that gets through to him. Thank you. Nailed it.But there isn't crickets as NBA insiders have noted to watch Collins, including the most reputable, Brian Windhorst.
