2024-25 Trade Rumors Thread

The Jazz flat out refusing to trade Sexton is bordering on funny at this point. Ainge is such a baby, lol.

News flash, we are going to be terrible next year too and Sexton and Collins will leave.
He did have a legitimate ankle sprain the other day. Any hope for him to get dealt kind of died with that.

Can't believe Clarkson has survived this long...I honestly expect him to be traded every deadline and every offseason.
Ryan Smith loves him. I’m sure the Jazz just overvalue him vs. other teams based on that. Aside from the tank, I don’t care either way. Genuinely awesome dude and a great locker room guy. I’m surprised there isn’t more demand for him, but it just depends on what the Jazz are asking for.

Takes two to tango

I'm pretty sure we probably had an offer of getting at least a second and an expiring for Sexton.

But Ainge gets so furious about "losing trades" that he's deciding he's just going to let Sexton expire and walk after wasting all of his prime, lol.

The fact that we got literally no positive value out of Collin Sexton for his entire time in Utah (since his positive play was very bad for the team) is really bad.

Yeah, that would be a stupid trade to deal him for a 2nd rounder.

The biggest reason I'm bummed about JCx2 and Sexton not getting traded, is that it now TU will feel empowered and entitled.
He would feel that way even if they got traded. Bro called Cooper Flagg a role player prior to the college season started and it hasnt hurt his confidence about being wrong.

I'd much rather keep him than just give him away.

I assume and hope Richardson gets waived.

I also constantly assume that he's that guy I wanted when he was on GSW a few years back. To replace Giriček.

Personally, I think if the Jazz can somehow tank into a position to get a top 5 pick, DA is going to use the contracts of guys like Collins, Clarkson and Sexton to make a consolidation trade next year. He’s done it before and the market seems primed for something unexpected.

Markkanen, Kessler, Collier, Keyonte, Top 5 pick, big trade target, fill the roster with promising young guys and/or vets on friendly deals like Eubanks and Svi.

Or they re-sign him or they trade him next year. His contract as an expiring is a great one to have to make money work.

Why would Sexton re-sign here, the team doesn't seem to like him very much and has spent his entire prime trying to intentionally throw games, lol. Why would they pay him more than other teams?

Sexton and Markkanen are the most infamous losers in the NBA currently in terms of just how bad their overall win-loss record is for their career and I'm sure Sexton is pretty sick of it at least.
