As far as the actual game I don't have any good ideas on how to fix it. The only change I feel strongly about is to not pick teams based on conferences, just the 24 best players.

Ok so I thought of this idea, and it's not good, but it's something.

My son is in to break dancing and they have competitions called Pokémon battles. Basically you play 2vs2 and the winning team gets to choose someone from the losing team and then it goes to 3vs3 and so on until 5vs5.

Probably for the All Star game you could start at 3vs3 and the games would be super short, like first to 15.

Having the winning rising star team get to play on Sunday seems like a good idea. That way fans of teams like us, who don't have anybody any all stars, get to look forward to something.

Keep Conferences. Use the traditional All-Star uniforms. Make the game determine which conference has home court advantage. That’s all I got.

If that’s who actually watches this then the NBA should probably reconsider the production around the game, because it appears to be catering to people who only tune in to hate watch.

I can't imagine any little kid or casual enjoying 5 minutes of basketball sandwiched between 55 minutes of a eulogy to a show that is literally just moving from TNT to ESPN.
