2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

Kel'el Ware has started making an impact with 45 pts, 23 rebs and 4 blks in his last two games combined. I had him as a lottery guy and top-5 rookie.
Almost this entire board fought me tooth and nail on Ware. I don't understand how they couldn't see the talent.

The talent was there. I guess the concern was that he didn't always want to play hard. But the Heat are a good team to develop him.

Matas has been hooping lately. He is the guy that can be honest and say I would have taken him instead of Cody without hindsight 20/20. It would be so exciting to have him out there gunning away with the other young guys.

Cody is so boring, only value is as a tank commander but he’s not fun to watch. The ultimate do nothing player.

Yeah, it's a sad state. I've never seen a lottery pick with as few flashes as Cody has shown.

I wouldn’t care if he just sucked. I don’t mind when the young players are bad….just do something on the court. He has issues with his weight and skill level, but his extreme lack of motor just makes him so boring.

zero assessment about Cody until early 27 I still believe

He is the poster who said Flagg was a glorified role player and SHOULDN'T be the #1 pick

Fixed that for you.

He IS a glorified role player, though. But with the way the draft-industrial complex works, of course he's gonna go first.

Nobody has the balls to take risks. Sure, he may end up averaging 12/3/2 in the league, but at least nobody can blame you for picking him at #1. That's the most important thing.

He had a range of outcomes. The high end looks to be off the table for the time being. He can still be a Jaden McDaniels type defensive wing, but even that requires him to up his physical presence and confidence. The Jazz will probably give him until his 3rd year to put himself together, but he needs to get to work right now.

Cody does some things well, like he moves well defensively and usually makes good, quick decisions with the ball. The problem is that he's very limited in terms of how he can score right now, and he tends to disappear if he's not really involved in plays. The concern about his assertiveness is still valid.
