Following Potential 2025 Draftees

FWIW here are the guys I would have in contention for 7 currently. Also FWIW all of these guys could drop to the 20's on my final board as well. Things are still very fluid for me:

- Fland - Most exciting film for me of the non top 6 guys.
- Khaman - The best true big prospect in the draft which will be coveted by many teams
- McNeeley - Very high floor with some upside
- Philon - I'm a sucker for a guard that can really defend, and I think he's the most talented.
- Queen - Extremely skilled and productive young big.
- Traore - Will be really good if he can shoot

So 2 guys that might end up going back to school (Fland/Philon), 2 guys that I really don't like at all (Khaman/Queen), a guy that is extremely boring (McNeeley), and a guy shooting 40/29/71 shooting splits (Traore).

My first time watching him was today. I totally see the Tatum style. I actually really like his highlights but obviously that just shows the good stuff. The percentages are not great at all, but his shot looks good and I feel like he is one of those players could get much better percentages as he gets older and can focus more on it. I imagine his lower usage rate and minutes may contribute to bad shooting percentages as he can't get as good of rhythm. I really liked his willingness to pass.

I see Aaron Gordon/Peyton Watson type prospect. Like him a lot.

What PG in this draft does PG things better? Furthermore, the most important advantage that being tall (specifically) confers is seeing the floor and the ability to get the ball over the defense. It is a huge benefit.

My issue with Wolf on the Jazz is that's he pretty redundant to Filipowski and I would rank Filipowski as the better prospect, so I would be more inclined to look for other types of players to fill out the roster, unless he's like the 20 pick and every other interesting player is off the board (possibility).

Dalano Banton, Kyle Anderson, Aleksej Pokusevski. Those are 3 players he's probably most closely related too as of recent NBA players.

Poku is the closest combination of attributes but Poku never played anybody before coming over and is made of tissue paper.

Most of them do. Any PG who playmaking/creating at the level that Wolf is right now is not notable. Yes his height helps him, it helps him produce at the current level which is not that notable amongst other playmakers. It's only notable for his size. If I'm an NBA coach and deciding who to give the ball to and my choice is between Wolf and another PG, it doesn't really matter who is better for their size it's who is better at creating.

I like him, but I think you're over selling him by calling him a game bending player. He adds some ball handling and playmaking with some big man size and traits, could turn out to be a nice and unique player. But being unique is not the same thing as good. Diaw was one of the most unique players in the league at his time, and yet he was still just a good player.

Tankathon has Kon and Khaman at 6,7 ahead of Tre.

Keandre has Khaman and CMB ahead of Tre.

No Celings pod has Tre Johnson 8, with Khaman and Egor Demin ahead of him.
 
Egor has been *** in conference play, but if you believe he can improve his handle I think he is a good of a bet as any at #7.

Sounds backwards, but he does have two different avenues (shooting and handle) that could really take him to the next level and that could be a reason for optimism.

Salt Lake City is not a small town. All of the teams you mentioned, the Jazz have the best organization. Kid is from Maine. Have you ever been to Maine? Talk about small towns. A main reason a player may consider staying is the NIL they receive. They are not starving students. College is a once in a lifetime experience. Besides, the kid just turned 18 so he is young enough to stay another year. The NBA and the shoe contract will be waiting for him. As a Jazz fan, I hope he doesn't stay and the Jazz win the first pick. However, I can see why an 18 year would want to have another year with his peers. Another bonus for him, is the Jazz have a very young team so he would have guys t hang out with.

Relative to other NBA cities it's a small town.

"He's from a small town so therefore he wont mind SLC" isnt always a great reasoning. A lot of kids from small towns want the big city experience and vice/versa, kids who are from big towns might enjoy the lowkey switch up to SLC (like Favors kind of said about growing up in ATL vs SLC)

One mock had him at 15, so his value has dropped. I have seen him play several times and not once did I think I would draft him with our lottery pick. I think staying in school another year would be beneficial to him considering how poorly he has played.

I could see that. I was drooling over him after the first few games because that player could be so valuable. If you think you can develop that after a reasonable amount of time then it's a no brainer.

I sincerely hope the Jazz don't end up drafting at 7. If they did, I'd probably take Derik Queen and use him as a high-post initiator. I'd also take a long look at Murray-Boyles in case he really puts his game together during pre-draft.

New Orleans is basketball purgatory. Washington sounds miserable. Charlotte is pretty dope and people say nice things about Toronto... Flagg would be a god in Utah. If he didn't want to come here initially I think he'd be cool once he got here. The business environment is good and essentially the only game in town. It would be ironic if the white american basketball savior was banished to Canada lol.

Its kind of a ****** list but I think we'd be near the top. Basketball situation, fanbase, etc. are all pretty ideal. He's spent limited time with Team USA and Hardy. You could do a lot worse at the top of the draft.
