The Trump administration is replacing the acting head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) over concerns about the pace of deportations and arrests of illegal immigrants.

A source familiar confirmed to Fox News that acting ICE Director Caleb Vitello has been removed from his position. The source said that the administration is not happy with the pace of deportations and arrests. T

A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security confirmed the personnel change to Fox News.

ICE arrests have gone up significantly since the beginning of the administration, but not enough to meet the administration’s targets.


Just such a bad way to do things. Its like giving police officers quotas. The next director might deport people who aren't even here illegally simply to hit the numbers and not be fired.

I can't wait until there is an imaginary crime all the liberal commies are supposedly committing and police are incentivized to have aggressive confrontations with the supposed perpetrators.

If I were a transgender person I would be very afraid of what might be coming. They are already the most murdered people but that doesn't mean that it can't get far far worse.

Everything Trump and Musk are doing seems designed to weaken our nation. Cutting waste is one thing. But intelligently, not with the chainsaw approach. Taking a chainsaw to our Civil Service is insane! Putin is a great beneficiary of a weakened United States. At this moment, maybe the greatest beneficiary. Just look at Trump siding with Putin against Ukraine!

I’ll go to my grave knowing Trump and Putin entered into an unholy alliance at some point. Trump’s job is to do everything possible to weaken our nation. A shame we may have to wait for History to judge and identify Donald Trump as the greatest traitor in American history.

Trolls for Trump support speaking to our civil servants as if they were leeches, sucking dry their host employer, our federal government. As if the Civil Service itself was simply filled by “the enemy within”.

Do dedicated federal employees, some may even consider it an honor to be a Civil Servant, deserve to be treated this way? Why would Trolls for Trump celebrate such treatment???

Our Civil Servants, our Civil Service, is being identified as a hornet’s nest of un-American bloodsuckers. I believe we should understand, Trolls for Trump will read the above paragraph as written by “an enemy within”. And they cannot justify that conclusion. Nor, when asked, will they justify that attitude. Without minds of their own, they see the cruelty of Trump and Musk as something needed. As something desirable. Whatever absurdly unjustified utterance tossed into the body politic, the marketplace of ideas, by Trump and Musk, will be parroted by Trolls for Trump as the best thing since sliced bread. As justified when they clearly are an unjustified and disgusting way to treat a federal worker. As if they were “rotten by nature”! Such are the vacuous minds of our Trolls for Trump.

The billionaire's hodge-podge team of underqualified 20-somethings — and at least one literal teenager — have already ripped up countless government contracts and fired thousands of federal employees — only to rehire those who were in charge of nuclear security and protecting the US from a looming bird flu crisis.

It's a spectacular level of incompetence that has Americans increasingly furious, as a new Washington Post-Ipsos poll shows.

A whopping 49 percent of respondents said they disapproved of the "job that Elon Musk is doing within the federal government," while only 34 approved. The degree of animosity shouldn't be understated either, with 41 percent "strongly" disapproving, while only eight percent "somewhat" disapproved.

When asked about Musk shutting down "federal government programs that he decides are unnecessary," 52 percent of all respondents disapproved, while only 26 percent approved.

And 63 percent of respondents said they were "concerned" about Musk's DOGE boys "getting access to some federal government databases that have Americans' personal Social Security, Medicare and tax information."

Unsurprisingly, the political divide is pretty stark, with 69 percent of respondents who identify as "conservative" approving of the job that Musk is doing, while only seven percent of "liberal" respondents said they approved.

Previous polling painted a damning picture of the entrepreneur's popularity, showing that his public support, even among Trump supporters, is dropping precipitously. A The Economist and YouGov poll found earlier this month that a mere 25 percent of Trump voters said that Musk should have "a lot" of influence on the Trump administration — compared to 51 percent just days after the election.

Even independent voters are becoming concerned about Musk's reckless approach.

One independent white woman from Texas said in her response to the WaPo-Ipsos poll that "hiring Elon Musk to gut the government" was the worst thing the president had done. "Elon Musk may be a brilliant man," she said, "but he is not good working with people and does not know what he is doing quite frankly."

Just so folks are clear, Elon's threat is illegal. An federal employee must be the one to make that call for their resignation, not their "employer", nor can the federal government just randomly fire a full time employee in that way. There's about a hundred lawsuits teeing up on this moron.

Just so we're clear also, some of the Mango Mussolini's more diehard supporters are back channeling the current administration to ask "WTF is going on?". I'm beginning to suspect he'll be impeached within a year or so, if not after Mid terms. Dude's the most unpopular president in 70 years in his honeymoon period. That's quite impressive.

No way any right wing politician votes to impeach. Unless the Democrats seriously take over in the house and Senate, with super-majorities in each with clear margins, this will just never happen. Never has the integrity of our body politic been lower in the history of the country. Shameless hucksters all of them. So not a single Republican would vote to impeach. That's a complete pipe dream.
