which call was the worst, Paul's first foul? The Reggie Evans play? or the Blake flop?

shame they took this away, fantastic play from Gordy

I missed the beginning of the game. It sounded like the announcers were talking about something Millsap said about the refs and playing Griffin. Anyone catch it?

Especially when the Jazz's play (and poor coaching decisions, such as playing two PGs for a full 7 minutes, especially after one of those PGs had had a mild injury) were bigger factors in the Jazz's loss.

And on the Millsap charge, he initiated significant contact. Weak call, but Millsap needs to be more aware of where his defender is.

No, that's not true. The Jazz played better, except for the calls.

Refs rewarded the flop, which is unfortunate, especially at the end of the game against the home team.
The other 4 examples were indeed more outstandingly terrible calls.

Like has been said before he started falling before there was any contact and it was an easy sell for Griffin because he knew Millsap was going to be aggressive (as he should be).

Also on PTI they showed Griffin's block saying how great his dunks are and now he's showing how he can get highlight blocks. Nevermind the fact he grabbed the rim and goaltended (not that he needed to grab it to get the block but still a goaltend).

On the replay, it was clear that Griffin anticipated and started falling backwards before the contact. That is a FLOP!!

Thanks for sharing Prodigy.

If there's one thing that can make my blood boil like clockwork it's NBA refs making crappy calls. Millsap hasn't gotten a call in his entire career, and the ref who called the goaltending on Hayward was just anticipating.

The refs who are theatrical and try to make themselves a presence in the game need to be removed from the game immediately. Since I doubt Stern will fire them for that, the most practical thing I can think of is paralysis. So I'll be praying really hard to god for them to fall down some stairs, suffer a skiing accident, try their hand at bull-riding or something along those lines. Since I'm a good guy, I'll ask that they don't die (that'd be over the line).

Can we blame the refs on being outrebounded by double digits, being outhustled, and shooting 1-11 in 3-pointers for most of the game too?

I was at the game so at times it's hard to see truly how bad a call was, but man... some really bad call here.

With that said, Thriller is right. Rebounding (just like last night) absolutely killed us.

The Jazz made 72% of their free throws.
I blame the refs for giving the road team more calls in a close game.

That first foul on Millsap was ridiculous, not to mention the goal tend on Hayward, and the outofbounds play.
I was watching, thinking "how could the refs possibly have called that, maybe I missed something"
but seeing the replays, those are beyond the realm of refs just making a mistake, it looks like they are going out of their way to favor one team, and not even being subtle about it.

There were many less obvious examples too.
Jefferson alone was drawing contact on at least 5 inside shots in the first half that weren't called for the and one, unless the defender jumped and literally landed on top of him, even then I was wondering if the refs would finally blow a whistle.

That goaltending call was amazingly bad, to the point where I seriously think the ref should lose his job over it if he can't grasp a basic rule like that. What really pissed me off were the pusses at ESPN who refused to replay it.

I can't believe people continue to blame NBA officiating for their team's own shortcomings. The Jazz just should have dominated the game from the beginning by not ever missing any shots and then just stomped on their opponents neck by stealing the ball from them whenever the Clippers inbounded the ball. That way, officiating discrepancies don't make a difference. So what if the average NBA game is decided by only a few possessions? We're talking about the credibility of the entire sport. Paaleeeese!

If there was even the slightest evidence that NBA ref's were biased, then just how badly tainted would the credibility of this cash-cow they call the NBA be? If it was proven to be nothing more than a less obvious version of the WWE, then a lot of people would look pretty silly, wouldn't they? Think of all the media people who spend their entire career talking and writing about something that is merely a fantasy. What about the millions upon millions of fans who spend countless time and money watching, thinking and discussing something which turns out to be utter nonsense? Yeah, right. There's way too much at stake to question the NBA's credibility.
