The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

FVV is truly one of the best in the business. Look what happens when he’s out or he leaves.

The Clips waived MarJohn Beauchamp, another former first round pick they and the Bucks don't think is a prospect. What's a little bit scary here is that he looked so much better than Cody playing in garbage time vs. the Jazz this season.
Cody is in the dangerous territory of getting JHS’ed. That is, not even getting his team options picked up for the third and fourth season if he continues his current level of play.

Completely different situations. What are you even talking about?

JHS was injured and was playing for a team focusing on winning now?

Cody got drafted by a team that knew he would be a project and is developing him appropriately.

So you are basically saying Cody is worse cuz we aren't trying to win now but Cody still couldn't do **** despite having more opportunities than JHS.

The Lakers defense got better after trading a DPOY candidate in Anthony Davis:

Before the trade: 112.7 points allowed
After the trade: 106.1 points allowed

The Lakers have a better defensive rating since they sent AD to Dallas in exchange for Luka Doncic.

Lololol

Cody will stay in the league a while, even if it's not with the Jazz. As for the Jazz, I think they'll give him 3 years to develop. If they don't want to extend him, they'll trade him and turn him into a "second draft" prospect, like Cam Reddish, Kevin Knox, Zach Collins, Ziaire Williams, etc.

A lot of the issue for him is really just physical development. He's started making his 3s recently, and he adds some value with his passing, defensive length and occasional drives. He just needs to get stronger and more forceful overall in order to have more of an impact.

I wonder whether he dropped in the draft cos teams don't think he could bulk up enough to play in the NBA.

Getting drafted at #10 when maybe he could have gone at #6 or #7 isn't really a big drop. I'm sure his weigh-in at the Combine didn't help him. It means you want him to gain like 20 lbs instead of 10-15 lbs.

It's crazy they figured it out so fast. When we killed them before the all star break I thought they looked like the worst defensive team I'd ever seen.
