It's being reported by multiple outlets that Alex Jensen will be the next U of Utah men's basketball head coach. Good for him.

Good news, I like Alex. It's hard to know if he can do anything for the program with NIL money being a huge driving force these days.
I'm pretty sure he could have had this job a few years earlier, but wasn't interested at the time. I think the thought he would be in the running for an NBA head coaching job that doesn't seem likely now.
What?Alex was once coach of the year in the GLeague. A D-1 college coach is probably closer to a GLeague coach with NIL money today. It will be interesting to see who his assistant coaches will be.
The NIL aspect of D-1 coaching is similar. GLeague coaches and front offices are always hustling to try and come up with endorsement deals for players to sweeten a relatively meager GLeague salary. What?
Pretty sure D-1 coaches have 7 figure salaries. I doubt G-League coaches even make 6 figures.

I will have to disagree. A university close to me hired a NIL guy who had been a GLeague assistant coach. The reason for the hire? His GLeague experience securing housing, meal deals and product endorsements for the players.
Yeah, probably no better time for Alex to leave.that now leaves 3 assistant coaches that have left the Mav's in less than a month.... what a way to throw an organization away
He assisted Rick.Wish we could just clone Rick Majerus the utes mostly hasn’t been relevant since he stopped coaching them.
Means nothing to me. Only one, Rick MajerusHe assisted Rick.
He had to have learned a ton both playing for him and being an assistant coach with him.Means nothing to me. Only one, Rick Majerus
No slight on him, but we’re talking about one of the great college basketball coaches of our time.He had to have learned a ton both playing for him and being an assistant coach with him.
I think he’s a great coach and I’m excited about his hiring. I was only paying homage to a legendary coach I hope he can get the Utah program back to where it was and it’s heydayHe had to have learned a ton both playing for him and being an assistant coach with him.
