Utah Jazz fined 100,000 for violating league participation policy

if i were the league, i'd make sure that as many teams as possible leapfrog the jazz assuming that they were not taking themselves.

The NBA has put itself in such a ****** spot here with this tanking issue.

They haven't done nearly enough to disincentivize it proactively and these little slaps on the wrist are nowhere near punitive enough. No question Ryan / Danny would take 3-4 of these at least if it meant securing #2 lotto odds vs. #3, etc.

Not to mention - the fans of these teams (us!) are THRILLED when we sit Lauri and throw a game, lol.

it's not just us, it's every team we play's fans not getting to see a game that isn't rigged. i think it's funny how in boxing, it is considered awful to rig a game, but in the nba (which is still being bet on in vegas) it's just 'everyone is doing it'.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA (AND SO IT BEGINS) ((i hate the tank)) (((also, anyone who says that the league is ok with this EAT IT)))
I was loud about this and wrong.

I do remember some national media guys talking about the tank after the Wizards game, so I wonder if that is what set things off.

One interesting part of this is that Lauri has been out with injury for all of these games. I'm not sure if there has ever been a fine for sitting a player on the injury report. The league is basically saying that they don't believe our injury report which could get in to some subjective territory.

Spoiler alert, they are tanking themselves.
