76ers did the same. It's wild Jared Butler was the best 76ers player tonight.

Washington has 3 games against the Sixers and Nets, both of which are currently tanking as hard as anyone. I think if we lost the game against Washington we could have for sure finished with the worst record.

I thought 5th worst was the best we could hope for and honestly thought we would probably finish 7th worst.

The reality just sunk in that with a bottom 3 record almost guaranteed at this point, we almost officially have the best odds at landing Cooper Flagg and the best odds at landing Dylan Harper or landing a top 4 pick. As far as the high end outcome of what this draft could give us, we are currently at mission accomplished.
If you don't believe that there is currently a huge difference between the 5th and 6th pick (At worst we have a 7% chance at 7th), then the tank is already pretty much over. There really isn't anything to get too excited about at this point.

Based on the fact that Philadelphia 2025 draft pick is top 6 protected, and they are currently tied for the 5th worst record with the Nets, I don't think there is another team with more tanking incentive than Philly. If they don't stay ahead of the Nets in the tanking race, it only takes ONE team jumping them in the lottery to lose their pick. Fortunately for us, Washington plays them twice the remainder of the season.
