2024-2025 Tank Race

I think Flagg and Harper are potential franchise-defining players. But I'd say that Ace Bailey and Tre Johnson have clear All Star potential and are markedly more than just rotation players. Ace Bailey has a higher ceiling than some of the players he's getting comped to--e.g., Jabari Smith, MPJ, Rashard Lewis, etc.
We'll hope so, if we end up with one of them. I don't have the faith you do, but drafts always turn out with some differences from expectations.

It would be great if the Wiz win one more and we have the luxury of trying to beat Minny one more time. That win we had is the difference now. Another win could seal the play-in game vs the playoffs at this point.

Washington has one more game remaining against the Sixers, who are tanking hard in an effort to keep their top-6 protected pick. I'm not sure the Jazz have enough talent on their active roster to beat the Twolves though.

Minnesota's best chance at picking up another loss would be @Milwaukee and @Memphis next week.

Minnesota ending up in the lottery is a super long shot, but it can only happen if they lose a few more and Memphis goes on a win streak, locking up the #6 spot. Golden State and LA clippers winning a few more games here doesn’t hurt. It’s crazy that in the West, the difference between the 3 seed (Lakers) and 8 seed (Clippers) is only 2 games.

At this point, I'm hoping the Minnesota pick comes in at 20 or better, and that requires teams like Golden State, Memphis and the Clippers to hold them off.

Not hoping for an lottery pick. I am hoping the twolves have to play the playin games and slip up. Failing to make the fiest round would be a total travesty and a huge setback.

Seems that it's like that every year in the West

It's wild that 3-8 in the West are all separated by 2 games. Minnesota could finish 3rd with how easy their schedule is.

Lakers remaining 5 games are all tough games, same with Denver, Clippers have 4 tough games left, Golden State has 4, Memphis has 4, Minnesota has 2.

I think it's damn near guarantee Minnesota finishes 6th or higher.

Jazz basically locked up being 30th in defense last night.

Will look up how many teams have finished last in defense in back to back years post-merger within a couple weeks.

Sixers are at least in the Wolves game. Grizzlies in a time game vs Pistons. Both very key games to get Minny in the play in.
