Heard it's gonna be a coin flip between us and wizards in case of a tie?

Lottery combinations will be divided evenly. Default draft position would be determined by a coin-flip as a tie-breaker. That said, we still need to lose two more games.

Just finished watching the game I’ve never been more pissed in my life. I think the Blazers missed four or five foul shots in the last 45 seconds and then sat Sharp in overtime. I hate Portland.

Was at the game, behind the basket for most of Flips dunks. Incredible the turnout and hype the Delta Center still has given this masterpiece of dog **** season.

I know people are upset, but I think this game was a success. Huge confidence game for Flip and he looked like the best Jazz player on the court by a mile all night. We'll have a 10% chance of 6th vs 5th if we lose out. That would be disastrous (though so would 5), but the real optimization was getting best odds for top 4 and we can't lose that. Raising the floor has merit, but it's not worth throwing a tantrum about an amazing game on the backs of our young players. We want them to have big games and develop confidence.

Blazers had this game won!!! Missed ft’s and a great look at a layup blown. This win felt like an act of God. If you were an atheist, you can no longer be so. We now have definitive proof there’s a god because we won this game.

I disagree. The 5th pick is Tre Johnson or VJ Edgecombe. The 6th pick is.....Kon Knueppel or Jeremiah Fears. I don't think the Jazz are a Derik Queen team, though I could be wrong about that.

I don’t really care much about the standings at this point, I care about the fact that the Jazz seem hell bent on having the worst record and the ramifications of that for the Timberwolves game. Winning that game could amount to a 5-pick swing in draft order alone, saying nothing of the slim chance that results in them missing the playoffs.
I guess I’m gonna hope we win tomorrow so there’s less pressure to tank the Timberwolves game?

Might actually watch the game now. Nice to see the young guys finally put together a winning game.

So God hates the jazz, great.

I don't really see a difference between finishing first or second. The worst case scenarios of 5 vs 6 don't sway me much. Not a huge difference there imo.
But you did just see the difference.
If the team with the 6th pick in the draft were to call up the team with the 5th pick and offer to trade picks then the team with the 5th pick would definitely say no 100% of the time.

Don't be ridiculous please

I'm pretty sure that I'm with you in that I want to win regardless. Here is the math though, probably:

Win and you have a 20% chance at a 6th pick, but go from no chance to a slim change of the MIN pick in the lottery. Lose and you have a 10% chance at the 6th pick, no chance at the MIN pick in the lottery and move down from maybe 18 to 23.
