Tay Henny looks like he's ready to play defensive end.
I’m having withdrawals. I really enjoyed this season. It’s the first season I’ve enjoyed since we had the best record in the league a few years ago. Been wanting to lose like this ever since the mass exodus of the previous era.
I enjoyed watching the evolution of the rookie contract players, and I’m throwing in Juzang. I think he’s a nice player to have on a championship level team, even starting if that’s what we need.
My analysis on the young guys are as followed, and what they need to improve.
Collier is a jump shot, and gaining experience away from being allstar level or very close to it.
Flip has those Sabonis traits to go along with quickness and great ball skills for a 7footer. He needs to make quicker reads and improve decision-making on defense.
Brice needs to improve ball security and processing skills. Hes already an elite shooter.
Key needs to improve shot selection, finishing inside, and defense. He’s a very good passer and shocked at how he’s improved his playmaking.
This was a wasted season for Hendricks other than improving his body. I look forward to watching his progression next year.
Kessler is an elite rebounder and rim protector. He has one more season to see if shooting 3’s is a viable option for him in the future. Early prognosis is that would be a no. He needs to improve his ft shooting and physicality on offense setting screens and down low in the paint.
Juzang showed he’s an nba player. Hes that guy on a contending team that won’t hurt his team on defense and is a mover who forces a defense to know where you are at all times. His shot is consistent and leathal and doesn’t need much room to get a good look. Is the quintessential 3-D player. He can probably make minor improvements on defense and passing. I really enjoyed watching what he did this year.
Cody Williams. Processing processing processing…. Ummm the nicest thing I can say about him is he became more aggressive as the season went on. He needs to well, improve everything. Body, shot, making an impact in any way imaginable
Am I the only realist here? What were you expecting when we traded DM and Gobert and half the team along with them. The jazz screwed up not going all in on the tank in the first two years. The goal of the season wasn’t wins or even compete. It was lose games and and develop the young players. I’m not the one depressed and hating the season because I prepared myself for what the season was all about. You enjoyed a 17 win season? You need many, many, years of therapy.
If we draft Flagg I have a feeling we're going to have one of the more exhilarating seasons of our time. Hendricks, Flip, Collier, Key, Kessler.. we got so many pieces that have potential to make the big leap.Yo, Hendricks looks friggin huge. When they said he worked on his body despite the injury I wasn’t expecting him to be well on his way to Malone arms. I’m sure he’ll have some rust, but he might be fun next season.

The dream scenario is all of those guys take a major leap, next season could be a lot of fun.
This.I mean, I understood that what they were doing was necessary and the right thing for the future. It just wasn't any fun at all to watch. I don't feel like I'm watching the future because I think its really low odds for any given individual on the team that they are still on the team when we are good. When our window opens, bunch of the young guys will get traded for fit pieces. If it doesn't open like this offseason, Markkanen and Sexton won't be here either.
I don't really want to comment more because if you really enjoyed this season, more power to you and I don't want to be a downer. Just for me the intentional losing felt icky and I don't yet feel like I'm watching the guys that will eventually carry my team to the heights. I understand and support what the team is doing, but I didn't enjoy this season even the slightest bit.
I enjoyed it til the last month.This.
I wanted losses every night. I got what I wanted. Doesn't mean I enjoy watching crappy jazz basketball though. I wanted losses because I want Cooper Flagg, not because I enjoy losing. I think it's strange to have enjoyed this jazz season.
Same. I watched most of our first 60 or so games and maybe only like 5 or 6 of our last 20.I enjoyed it til the last month.
He will be opting in. There just isn't much cap space or a lot of teams that will use MLE (a big paycut). Opt in and trade, then extension at a lower number with the team that acquirers him would be his best bet.I went back and watched the Collins interview and it was weird asf. He was trying to not get in trouble regarding his injuries or lack thereof and I don't think he wants to be here unless he gets a max extension. If he and his agent test the water and no one wants to pony up I think the Jazz will have a very unhappy camper on their hands if he is forced to opt in.
For most of the year the jazz were competitive, it was fun. I had no expectations of winning. But then everyone got shut down the last month or so. I still had fun and had anticipation for each game, but the entertainment value wasn’t the same the last month.I enjoyed it til the last month.
I’d actually be shocked if Ty year don’t trade Collins and Sexton this offseason. Wouldn’t be shocked to see them consolidate them into a single trade for a guy on a big contract and the team wants to get out of it - like Chicago and LaVine last year.He will be opting in. Well I said dream scenario.Lets not get ahead of ourselves.
WE NEED TO KEEP A ****ING LID ON THINGS!!!!!
