Get rid of Harris

I know KoC values his bigs too, BUT this Kanter dude is bigger (as in WIDER) and picking it up FAST. Getting a young and talented PG would certainly help our starting unit tremendously. Replacing Favors with Varejao on the 2nd unit would SHORT TERM at worst be a wash; long-term Favors would likely surpass Varejao in productivity. But then Irving is already beyond Harris in productivity.
NO WAY the Cavs give up Irving for anything less than Favors; they know what they got in Irving, but Favors would tempt any GM...
I wouldn't give up Favors for Tristan, who's not doin' much for the Cavs (yet)... Gonna play hardball and go for Irving <grin>...

Why is Harris playing so poorly? I'm concerned that he told Cheryl Miller that he didn't like basketball when he was with the Nets because of all the losing. Did he ever gain the passion back for the game? Usually when a player falls this quickly, there is usually a reason. He doesn't seem to be injured, did he practice during the lock-out? How can someone go from a 20 point scorer and an all-star to the steaming pile of crap we see each game in just two years?

Pretty simple.

He played on the defenseless Mavs where he specialized in chucking.

Then he was traded to the Nets, where all he did was chuck.

Now he's with a competitive team that is asking him to play PG and manage the game.

Instead of chucking the ball as soon as he can, he's being asked to run an offense.

I think Devin harris's stats have been exaggerated his whole career by the systems that he has played in.

Carlos Arroyo, Carlos Boozer, Memo, Duron, Shandon Anderson, Howard Eisley, Adam Keefe, etc all looked good in our system because our system emphasized their strengths.

Likewise, Monta Ellis would be a disaster in our system. On the other hand, Devin harris would fit in perfectly with GS. Same with AK.

Some players are built for this system while others are not.

Earl Watson? Built for this system.

Devin harris? Built for chuckers like Dallas, GS, Phx, Denver, and Orlando.

He was a chucker in Dallas when he averaged 48% and 49% from the field?
 
He hasn't shot well in 4 or 5 seasons. I don't know what exactly happened to him. But maybe he did lose his passion for the game.

Are you kidding me? Yeah good call...lets trade a worthless point guard that can't pass or shoot for another guard that just chucks all day long? We already have a chucker (CJ) why would we need another?

Jazz just need to take the first offer that comes their way to get rid of Harris. Hell...couple Harris with Jefferson and let Millsap and Kanter as the big boys. I'm sorry, but the Millsapapoptumus can do more than Jefferson, and if they keep giving Kanter time, that man is going to be a force to be reckoned with...mark my words!
 
I don't see why Jimmer would hurt us. We have Earl/Tinsley to run point. Now we need an outside threat to better our spacing for bigs and slashers.

He has potential to hurt us ala Tim Tebow. There will always be some fans will be constantly chanting for Jimmer to come in the game no matter what.
