That was a frustratingly entertaining game to watch, Jazz start off well but by the end of the 1st and carried over to the 2nd qtr the offense and defense really started to fall off. Then came out slow and lazy to start the 3rd but mid way through started to come back and the bench carried that momentum into the 4th qtr. Then the last 3 and 1/2 min of the game was back to frustrating between Al missing shots and his TO and Millsap as well having a TO and not be able to do anything down the stretch.
The only thing I was really upset with Corbin was giving Howard so much playing time int the 4th qtr over Hayward.
In the 2nd half I was impressed by both Favors and Kanter especially defensively.
Did Ty explain why he only played Hayward for like a minute? I know Howard was so impressive but come on. This is one where KOC needs to say something to to Ty.
If he has I haven't heard it. I guess I'm more forgiving or patient, with coach Sloan his rotations were my biggest pet peeve but then every teams fans seem to complain about their HC's sub's or rotations.Did Ty explain why he only played Hayward for like a minute? Our inability to hit 3's is not what's killing us. What's killing us is wings who can't create offense. What's killing us is a PG who likes to take early clock jumpers. The offensive sets are pretty familiar -- guys pass the ball around all over the place, nothing happens, and then Al gets the ball. We break that up by running a few PnR's every now and then, and in the 1st we did get a few transition buckets. But without a backcourt that can or will press a defense, we're stuck with dumping down low and living post to post.
