GSW Draft Pick Watch

Huge road win for Golden State over Atlanta. They win in a defensive struggle 85-82.
Actually the game was eeringly similar to Utah-Sacramento. Warriors hit 16-17 FT's in the win. The Hawks went 16-26 (61%). Yes, FT shooting wins and loses games. Ya hear that Corbin and Jazz players? Practice yer damn FT's!

awesome

GSW, TOR, DET, and UTA all won yesterday. Pretty much every other team below Utah lost (PHI, WAS, MIL, CLE, CHA, NOH, MIN). SAC, PHX, and NJ didn't play.

Jazz firmly in 12th place with a two win lead on 3 teams.

Rooting for Phoenix over Minny, and Sacramento over LAC tonight. Both picks playing at home.

Lol at this point, I don't know if I want Utah to lose and the bottom 7 teams to win (for Utah to get its own high lotto pick)
Or for GS to win and the bottom 7 teams to lose...

Hopefully the average of those two statements happens.

Cant you see whats going to happen? The jazz are going to finish exactly 500 and end up with 14th pick overall. And gs will end on 8 but will win the lottery and move to number 1

Getting the 14th pick may be a blessing in disguise. It would allow us to get KENDALL MARSHALL. Anything before 14 might have been too much of a stretch to pick him, but I could see Utah getting him at 14.

Better that than to be in the EC. A couple of those teams will likely finsh under .500 but end up with the 15th and 16th picks because they'll make the playoffs. At least Utah will have a chance of moving up. And there will be a couple of other teams in the WC close to .500 that will still be in the lottery. As of today, Utah would be in the 12th spot and Minnesota and Portland would be the 13th and 14th seeds - despite being at or 1 game under .500.

Right now, we just have to keep hoping for losses by Detroit and Sacramento. They're in the 6th and 7th spots. Cleveland and Milwaukee are nice buffers, as I could see either NJ or Sacramento make a run. Both teams have played more road than home games to date and NJ has Lopez back. If I had to bet, I'd put GS in the 9th spot and Utah at #12 at the end of the season.

I hope you are right. Id take the 12 and 9. What would be even better is if gs ends on 8 but doesnt move up. And we land on 9 and do move up. That 9th spot seems to hit every once and awhile. Thats the dream scenario.

But i fear that gs is going to try and tank. They have openly said they would. And the jazz just seem to be on track to finish right in that last spot in the lottery.

It just seems like a waste to not get the reps needed for the young guys just to finish barely out of the playoffs. We could really use this year to draft really good one more time before we make our push.

Golden State loses to the tankalicious Raptors, a nice surprise.

I'm not so sure about that. If the Warriors trade Ellis and Curry is out this team is going to stink. These are the type of games they need to win. This draft pick is going to be close.

I could only imagine how much of a stink this board would be throwing if Mark Jackson was our coach. Their team ****ing blows and he only gave Klay Thompson 12 minutes. Instead giving major minutes to Nate Robinson, Dominic McGuire, and Brandon Rush.

what happens around the NBA at the trade deadline could make or break this pick.

I worry that if we don't get the pick during this draft, GSW will go into full rebuild mode and this pick will be protected until it turns into nothing.
