Just thought it was odd that he referred to a Jazz game as the Mavs game on a Jazz board. Then again, I'm so tired that just about anything would seem odd to me atm...
Cool. I just missed it completely. Tired too.

Did you just refer to it as the MAVS game?
I didn't watch the 2nd half cause I was too pissed off, but if Marshall is showing that he is improving his shot I have no problem with him. I was just concerned (with good reason I might add) that if he can't score, he won't do as well in the NBA. I'm not too stubborn to admit I'm wrong on a guy though, if he can keep this shooting up I'm fine with him.
Yeah, the Jazz got manhandled tonight by the Mavs. No way is it the Jazz's game.
You were excommunicated. BE GONE!!!
I'm just a little nervous about Marshall's jumper and athleticism.
We've seen lately flashes of what Harris can do when he's motivated. His speed wrecks havoc on opposing defenses and his quickness allows his to play some lockdown defense. Just ask Kyle Lowry.
Rivers IMO could be a Harris like player with a far better jumper. And he's only a freshmen!
Marshall? I have question marks. Will he consistently be able to defend? Or will he be another liability defensively? Will be consistently be able to get by NBA defenders? When teams start playing off of him because of his lack of a shot, how effective will he be?
I think we really need to consider the evolution of the game. Marshall's defense should be concerning... As is his ability to get by NBA defenders.
Good luck getting people to listen to this one, the game is the same as it was when Mark Jackson played.

And to be honest, his job isn't that impressive to me... Throw the ball to guys like Harrison Barnes (Kevin Duranchula Jr.) and watch him score..... I could do that.
Rivers is younger, more athletic, and has overall better offensive and defensive skills. The potential is through the roof on this kid.
And for folks who talk about Marshall improving, what about Rivers? He's what... 18? 19? years old? As if he WON'T improve?
I think the very fact that we're having a discussion about whether Rivers or Marshall is better should tell you who to take. Go with the young buck.
One last thing, Mark Jackson played in the NBA when you could bump, grab, and otherwise foul out on the perimeter. Today's NBA is all about speed. Just ask CP3, Westbrook, Rose, Wall, Lin, Nash, Parker, Lawson, Harris, etc. These guys get the ball and blow by their defenders/or else draw a foul because they're being bumped.

I am a pro-Rivers guy but some comments here need to be addressed. First, your regard for his youth. He is less than one year younger than Marshall. The latter's a sophomore in case you didn't know. Secondly, how easily you dismiss Marshall's assists and attribute them to the talent around him. Kentucky has insane talent but you don't see Teague stockpiling assists at a record pace. Marshall has a genuine feel for the point guard position that is rare and yet you seem to dismiss that. But maybe the fact that he's averaging more assists per game than anyone in 18 years is just a by-product of good fortune and the talent around him. That makes sense. I'm going to guess you haven't watched many of his games or are simply choosing sides without being objective. Regarding their abilities to improve, I see Marshall being able to improve his shooting through practice reps easier than I see Rivers being able to improve his point guard skills which is much more of a learned trait over years and years. I'm not saying he couldn't become a good point guard ala Westbrook but I see that as less likely than I do Marshall becoming a decent shooter. And lastly, your claim that NBA athletic talent is so much different than it once was. That what Marshall is doing now won't equate to the pros because he's just not that athletic. Where the hell do you think these pros have come from? I hate to break it to you but they came from the NCAA and Marshall is doing what he's doing against the best of the best on a night in, night out basis.
Listen, I'm not saying draft Marshall over Rivers. My gut tells me Rivers will be the better pro actually. But much of what you said was just flat out stupid.

... meanwhile ESPN has Jazz taking Lillard at #10...
